In March 2025, EA released the official PC requirements for F1 25. And today, the publisher shared some more detailed PC specs, including the PC requirements you’ll need to game at 8K or with Path Tracing. So, let’s take a look at them.
Let’s start with the 4K/60FPS PC specs. To play at 4K/Ultra Settings with 60FPS, you’ll need an Intel Core i5-10600K or an AMD Ryzen 5 5600X with 16GB of RAM with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3080Ti, an RTX 5080, or an AMD Radeon RX 7900XTX. With this PC setup, you can run with Ray Tracing enabled, however, you’ll need to use DLSS or FSR (at Quality Mode).
This is the first time we see a publisher share 8K PC specs. So, I guess we were ahead of the curve when we started sharing 8K videos? Seems likely.
Anyway, to game at 8K, you’ll need an Intel Core i5-12600K or an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X with 32GB of RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 4090 or an RTX 5090. Codemasters claims that only NVIDIA’s GPUs will be able to provide a playable experience at 8K. To get 60FPS, you’ll need to enable DLSS Balanced Mode and Frame Gen.
Finally, we have the Path Tracing PC requirements. For gaming at 1080p/Ultra Max with 60FPS , you’ll need an Intel Core i5-12600K or an AMD Ryzen 5 7600X with 32GB of RAM and an NVIDIA RTX 4080 SUPER or an RTX 5080 or an AMD Radeon RX 7900XTX.
EA will release F1 25 on May 30th. The game will also use the Denuvo anti-tamper tech.
Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

wow first racing game with path tracing so coooll.this publisher is a great example for others .it didnt even bother itself to talk about path tracing 4k requirement .4k and 60 frames must not hold back the graphics .tech is ready for 1080 60 fps path tracing for now and its far more than enough reason to have path tracing in games .
its very stupid to wait for 4k 60fps .
Hi there to all, for the reason that I am genuinely keen of reading this website’s post to be updated on a regular basis. It carries pleasant stuff.
Ah yes, frame generation required to go from 30 to "60" fps at 8K while using an RTX 4090 or 5090. Imagine recommending the kind of settings that adds an ungodly amount of input lag in a RACING GAME. WHY EVEN BOTHER?! Who the fudge comes up with these?!?!
My point was that it's stupid to list recommendations for settings which not even the best hardware in the world can comfortably work with. If you've used frame generation to generate 60fps from 30 you'll immediately know why it's a TERRIBLE idea for a racing game where fast reflexes and responsive controls are a necessity. I'm honestly not sure why you went off on such an unhinged tangent.
Odd seeing my trusty 3080 ti classed with the 5080. The 50 series may have issues with this title or the requirements are just asinine.
I appreciate you sharing this blog post. Thanks Again. Cool.
