The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered feature-2

The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered Hotfix 1.0 Released, Full Patch Notes

Nixxes and Iron Galaxy have released the first Hotfix update for the PC version of The Last of Us Part 2 Remastered. This update is small, around 8MB, and fixes a couple of issues. So, let’s take a look at them.

Hotfix 1.0 makes changes to mouse input to improve detection of subtle aiming movements. Moreover, the Upscale Sharpness slider will now give improved control over sharpening. This is a huge improvement as the game looked oversharpened before.

This latest hotfix also improves overall stability. To be more precise, it fixes a crash that could occur when playing at 1440p resolutions with Volumetric Quality set to Medium. It also fixes a crash that could occur while erratically moving the mouse in the menu before starting a new game.

For those wondering, this hotfix does not fix the issues on NVIDIA GPUs with Rebar. In case you were not aware, Rebar can reduce performance in this title on high-end NVIDIA GPUs. For optimal performance, you’ll have to disable Rebar from your BIOS.

Nixxes and Iron Galaxy have stated that they are currently monitoring all the feedback they’ve received. However, there is no ETA for when the first major patch will come out.

Like always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below you can find its complete changelog.

        1. Seriously, wow. thats crazy, sure FPS, but all other games ,especially if they console and optimized for gamepad? sonys games are made for Dual Sense and have special features which make the game more fun.
personally, I play FPS with gamepad too, i no longer use keyboard and mouse because i started using big screens, in 2014 i got 40inch PC monitor and sicne 2016 im buying 55inch OLED tvs and use them as monitor, so i need some distance from the desk.
I want to replay Starcraft 2 for example but it has no gamepad support so its problematic for me

          1. Playing an RTS with a controller is like playing guitar with boxing gloves, you think this is correct but you're astonished when someone plays a TPS with KB/M ?! LOL

You're not the majority, you're actually a special case and assuming "who games with a mouse ?" shows how you're entitled to your perspective and completely disconnected from reality.

          2. You have no idea how popular PC gamepads are and how many new models come out from asia, not cheap t rash models, but luxury gamepads with features not available on big brands.

You will be surprised that using gamepad with motion control in FPS is apparently a thing [which even by my standards was strange], people map it to aim button and when they scope motion control turns on, so they use the motion on low settings to adjust the aim more precisely.

I been buying different gamepads and the world of modern gamepads is huge, tension sticks, dual analog/digital triggers, macro [including keyboard] mapping, extra face buttons, extra 4 under buttons, Magnet based sticks, floating D-PADs and so on
Open steam forum of any game that has gamepad support and ask people, “How many of you use gamepads” see how many respond

There are RTS games that have console versions and gamepad control, HALO, Command and Conquer and others and they fine

There is this gamepad that i plan to buy to play RTS, its half touch pad and half thumbstick with triggers, so you can move with stick but camera control can be done via touch pad

          3. I use an Xbox Series controller myself for a lot of games, don’t try to lecture me on that, this doesn’t make me think that my way is better running around commenting “who games with a mouse ?”, i don’t have an issue with you using a controller it’s your preference, the problem is your attitude not respecting opinions and choices and the fact you’re trying to ignore a problematic issue, a game releasing on PC MUST have functional KB/M controls.

“There are RTS games that have console versions”
They will NEVER control better than KB/M, that’s a mathematical fact, no matter how much ret*rded assistance they add to them, they either end up being ridiculously assisted or have sh*t controls.

          4. I've been using a keyboard and mouse for gaming in my living room for years, you just need the right furniture setup for it (I have one of those lift-top coffee tables). It's totally doable and is undoubtedly the better way to play many genres, including TPS.

          5. There are ways, but im sitting on office chair [Aeron] it has arm rests and will be complicated to use one of those pillows with keyboard and mouse stand on top
How can you use coffee table if its below your height, are you leaning down all the time?
During PS3 era, i had PC setup that instead of keyboard uses something that looks like PSMOVE, the device was called FRAGnStein it was sold to emulate mouse and keyboard on PS3, but works with PC too.
basically in your right hand you use your standard mouse, but in your left had, instead of uncomfortable keyboard you have something that looks like PSMOVE, thumbstick to move, d-pad below it, R1 and R2 buttons, R3, select and start + it have 3D sense that i used for “shake for melee” or “shake for reload”
In my right hand i usually had a mouse with some extra buttons on its side, like I had logitech that had 6 side buttons

So it was more then enough to setup all the FPS/TPS buttons from keyboard to this PSMOVE thingy + mice side buttons and than you just sit with your right arm with a mouse, so you dont need full desk, just some space for mouse to move on and in your left palm you have this device,

I still has this device and maybe ill set it up again, what i wonder is why no accessories company sells something like this for PC, I would buy a Razer model for sure, its perfect for FPS/TPS

          6. How can you use coffee table if its below your height, are you leaning down all the time?

As I mentioned in my reply already, it's a lift-top coffee table. A portion of the table top lifts up, bringing the keyboard and mouse much closer to the user.

          7. Controllers have their place but for shooters and the RTS you mentioned you wanted to play there is no substitute for M&K for me.

One idea I can suggest is what I do. Get a piece of cheap shelving from the hardware store and cut it to size for whatever you are comfortable with and either lay it on your lap or between the arm rests of your chair if that's preferable. Put wireless M&K on the shelf piece and you're good to go. Not a pretty thing but it's cheap and I use it regularly when I play RTS kicking back on my couch on a big screen TV.

          8. I have to try that, i considered lap-desk or whatever its called, but i think it wont work with arm rests
google “Reviewing IFYOO GTP01 Touchpad Controller”
This is what i want to RTS, its not expesnive and can be ok.

I wish i bought steam controller when they were available, these are great for RTS and FPS [after learning curve]

        1. if you not used to it, I seen videos of kids that grew up with modern gamepad, beat keyboard and mouse people in online COD matches.
I remember way back when i was strictly K&M gamer, and tried playing FPS on PS1, its was HORRIBLE, then on PS2 it got better and on X360, Gears, Halo I got used to it

          1. That’s because they get huge aim assist on gamepad. Without it they will get annihilated

          2. Without aim assist and aim lock, controllers are unusable.
Hop in csgo and experience what no aim lock and assists feels like.
A pro console gamer would probably not score a single kill against the lowest CSGO ranks in 1v1 maps.

          3. K&M is easy mode, autoaim doesn’t do what you think it does, its not magical auto tracker like aimbots are, it just helps in the last second, like it can slow the gamepad down when you on target so it makes it easier to get a precise shot [on pro gamepad you can program such feature yourself to work in every game]
The other type can do last second adjustment, lets say you track a person and your marker is on its hair or tad above that, auto aim will hit in the head, but it wont track it for you, it never locks the target.

have you played metroid 1, on GMC or emulators? it has a feature that after you lock on enemy, hold left trigger, and shoot it will auto target and auto track, its “Suit” feature, well thats not how autoaim works in multiplayer games.

If you professional with gamepad, going to mouse is easy mode, im sure you understand that FPS with gamepad is much harder, you need more skill,
personally when i play game and i cant kill a boss or something or there is something that makes me target shoot, i just move forward to my desk and grab a mouse

          4. "I seen videos of kids that grew up with modern gamepad, beat keyboard and mouse people in online COD matches."
Correction : Only with autoaim, don't skip that part

          5. There is no auto aim in online matches vs keyboard, also what do you think auto-aim is?
That it magically tracks the target for you? it doesnt do that, it can correct if you in the general area, but you need to track yourself

          6. “it can correct if you in the general area, but you need to track yourself”
Yep that’s exactly that, it has a name in the KB/M world : Aimbot. And it’s considered a cheat, and without this cheat you don’t stand a chance.
Most PC gamers use KB/M for KB/M suited games, you use a controller and it’s OK, just don’t try to slide it as a general preference, you’re the niche guy, not us.

          7. aimbot locks you in and can track, even trough objects.
autoaim, doesnt have any lock-in mechanics: It works by automatically adjusting the player’s crosshair to the target, or by slowing down the sensitivity of the controller’s thumbstick when the player is near the target.

          8. It’s still assistance, you’re bragging about assisted players winning against players aiming manually bro, it’s like enjoying winning a bicycle race with stabilizers against normal bicycles.

  1. Came to see how they're bashing the geh propaganda disguised as a game, but I guess what others use to play a game is a serious matter.
Have to say I'm disappointed, lads!
