STALKER Complete Mod 1.5

STALKER Complete Mod 1.5 will make you fall in love with the first STALKER game

STALKER fans, here is something really special for you today. Last week, GSC GameWorld released STALKER 2 on PC and Xbox. And, as I’ve said numerous times, it feels more like an Early Access game as it has a lot of bugs and gameplay issues. Thankfully, until GSC GameWorld fixes STALKER 2, you can download this amazing mod and play the first STALKER.

STALKER Complete 1.5 Mod showcases the finest contributions from the STALKER community over the past years, alongside brand-new, original content. The mod incorporates extensions and the DirectX 11 support, to maximize its potential and fully leverage modern hardware capabilities.

Going into more details, STALKER Complete 1.5 has new assets for pretty much all materials. Players can expect better textures for grass, foliage, rocks, terrain and more. Plus, there is an extended view distance for both grass and vegetation, something that will minimize the game’s pop-in issues. Also, there are new high-quality 3D models for almost all NPCs.

Another cool feature is the Complete Weather. The modders have updated rain, sunlight, and various effects, including celestial objects, to deliver a more impactful and immersive experience. The rain soundscape has been mixed to include distant rainfall, along with the subtle sound of droplets tapping on the Marked One’s hood, creating a deeper sense of presence and environmental interaction.

Alongside the graphical improvements, the mod also packs some QoL improvements. For instance, it adjusts the carrying weight, sprint, enemy vision, difficulty, and more. It also adds software EAX functionality for interior reverb effects. Moreover, you can expect 15 new acoustic guitar tracks, as well as more blood decal variants. Finally, Complete 1.5 restores the game’s anomaly visibility, and features the Particle Physics Mod.

All in all, this is the best way to replay the first STALKER game. So, if you were let down by STALKER 2, I highly recommend playing the first STALKER with this mod. You can go ahead and download it from this link.

Sadly, I couldn’t find any gameplay video to share. That’s a bummer as a showcase video could do wonders. Still, as I said, this mod is a must for all STALKER fans.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. The mod incorporates extensions and the DirectX 11 support, to maximize its potential and fully leverage modern hardware capabilities.

Except that DX11 doesn't "fully leverage modern hardware capabilities".

You know which graphics API does though?

Vulkan with its ever expanding extensions.

For example, with the latest DXVK 2.5.1 release and its rewritten memory management, having support for these optional extensions with up-to-date graphics drivers brings additional benefits:

And yeah, DXVK works wonderfully with the OG STALKER series.

  2. Stalker with Anomaly Custom mod is the mod to go, as far as my stalker1-addict friend says.

As for Stalker 2 – it's a generic shooter ue5 slop with catastrophic performance. So basically like almost any other ue5 game out there.

    1. i used both, moddb is censorious too just not as much and lets you download without an account but the ui is worse.

  3. I'm wondering WTF happened to the incredible X-Ray Engine !!!! they replaced it by the lousy UE5 !!!!!!!!!! What a waste .
All the GPUs are now crippling to run Stalker 2 because of this crappy UE5, All the games are the same = same textures , same colors – same shaders . ……..etc
it's like like watching all different movies genres with the same actor !!

    1. I honestly would have loved to see a new version of their engine with updated graphics (i didn't need more than that), especially because of its crude realistic visual style.

But, be realistic: that is a long, expensive and risky undertaking for a company that was struggling to stay alive and had a project that had gone through big problems since its inception.

Add to that that it also requires a programming talent that veeery few studios really have anymore, and in the end it's much more viable to just license UE, period, and problem solved. Even if you have to deal with it's own performance problems later.

  4. I still have the nuclear snow mod version standalone usually boot that one up but also the gog vanilla versions. Might give this a shot if it works on that gog version. I am replaying Half Life 2 20th and it's great, even got the xbone controller to work w a console command, still a great game vanilla 20 years later. I've just got to figure out how og stalkers xbone controller prob a mod there.

  5. Oh wow, Complete? That was my favorite mod back in the days, and I think that it didn't get any update since almost a decade!
I hope they also update the Complete mods for Clear Sky and Call of Pripyat!😍

  7. Does it also works for all 3 ? ; S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Shadow of Chernobyl, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Clear Sky, S.T.A.L.K.E.R.: Call of Pripyat

    1. Stick to the stand alone mods, easy to install and works most of the time. I too got plenty of issues with mods that need the base game.
