Modder ‘instanity’ has released a 4K Texture Pack for The Witcher 3 Next-Gen that improves all of the story and side mission characters. This pack is 500MB in size, and we highly recommend using it.
From what I can see, instanity used AI tools to upscale the vanilla textures. So, as with pretty much all AI Texture Packs, these new textures retain the art style of the original ones. At the same time, they bring a somewhat minimal improvement. However, as this mod is only 500MB, you should download it and test it yourselves.
The mod overhauls a lot of characters, so I won’t be listing all of them. Among them, you can find Ciri, Priscilla, Zoltan, Vesemir and Yennefer.
Those interested can download this HD Texture Pack from this link. Sadly, the modder did not provide any Before/After comparisons. That’s kind of a bummer. Nevertheless, I’ve included below some screenshots with these new 4K textures.
Speaking of The Witcher 3 Next-Gen, you may also want to take a look at these other mods for it. For instance, you can download a really cool first-person mod. those faces are the last thing in Witcher 3 that need an overhaul, combat and transparent foliage when you walk into them are what irritate me the most.
+1. TW3 combat system is terrible, it's the least favorites aspect of the game for me.
Too bad all The Witcher games don't control like Heretic II.
Doesn't really look any better than the 4K textures I've been using for these characters for the last 3 or 4 years but it does cover a lot more minor characters so it would be a good mod to load last and then load your preferred main character mods before it so they overwrite the ones in this mod
