NVIDIA GeForce 552.12 WHQL Driver Available for Download

NVIDIA has launched a new GeForce driver for its GPUs, driver 552.12 WHQL. This new driver is designed to make Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III and Call of Duty: Warzone Season 3 run better than ever before. So, if you are a COD fan, you should definitely download it.

NVIDIA claims that this driver should also provide the best experience for those who want to play Diablo 4 with Ray Tracing. Plus, this driver enables resizable BAR for Horizon: Forbidden West.

According to some early tests, resizable BAR can bring minimal performance gains. We’re talking about 1-3fps on an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4090. So yeah, don’t expect much from it. Still, it’s free performance so can you really say no to that?

Speaking of Horizon: Forbidden West, I also suggest replacing its DLSS 3 Super Resolution DLL file with the latest one. DLSS 3.7 provides a better image quality with less smearing. From what I’ve seen, it also doesn’t come with any drawbacks. So, make sure to follow this guide in order to replace it.

And that’s all. If you don’t currently play the aforementioned titles, you can safely skip this driver. After all, it does not appear to come with any additional fixes.

You can go ahead and download this new driver from this link. Below you can also find its complete changelog.

    1. i got it, but its very hard to notice. Playing at 1440p max settings incl. RT.
As a Raytracing fan i must say in this game the reflections are barely noticable.. the shadows are looking ok.

  1. I’m done with new drivers after it broke HDR for Death Stranding, especially when Sunshine makes a perfect replacement for Shield streaming. The amount of driver issues I get from new releases is insane.

      1. Fine if you are playing older games but those are not updated for newer games and newer features. They are for production not gaming and won’t have some of the updates or new features for gaming nor are the optimized for gaming, they are optimized for video production and for Omniverse professional applications and graphics cards

They aren’t really tested all that much more, they are simply tested for production applications which are only upgraded once or twice a year.

    1. That’s what I keep telling people, if your drivers are working fine there is really no need to upgrade every damned month. You should only upgrade if you need new drivers for a new game release, a feature update or a security/bug fix. I downloaded this driver only because it fixed the REBAR bug in HFW because someone at Nvidia forgot to Whitelist the game for REBAR

New drivers will often break older games because they only test games that are 2 year old or less because it’s just not practical to test thousands of older games. If you are playing a new game fine then upgrade but if you are playing older games then it’s best to wait a week and then check the Nvidia forums for people having problems

Before HFW came out I was still running drivers from October 2023 and they worked just fine in all my games so I stuck with them until I had a reason to upgrade

For future articles, it would be fascinating to explore more to dive deeper into this subject. Could you also clarify more about the topic? It caught my interest, and I’d love to understand more about it. Keep up the excellent work!
