A leaked slide from Sony’s internal presentation has revealed the Steam sales for all of its ports that have hit PC over the past couple of years. Do note, though, that this slide is from February 2023. As such, it does not have any sales numbers for The Last of Us Part I.
According to the leak, the most successful PlayStation game on PC is Horizon: Zero Dawn. Up till February 2023, that game has sold 3.3 million units. Perhaps that’s also one of the reasons why Horizon: Forbidden West is coming so soon to the PC. Because let’s be honest here. It would make more sense to see Ghost of Tsushima and Demon’s Souls as the next PlayStation games to hit the PC. Instead, we’re getting the sequel to Horizon.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is in fourth place, with fewer sales than Days Gone. The leak also implies that the best strategy for Sony is to release its game 1-2 years after their console release. Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered came out six months after its console release and fell behind Days Gone.
At the end of the barrel, we find the Uncharted collection, Spider-Man Miles Morales and Sackboy. Now I don’t know why Sony greenlit Sackboy for PC. It’s a great platformer, don’t get me wrong. But you’re telling me that a PC version of Sackboy made more sense than Bloodborne? Come oooooon.
It will be interesting to see the PC sales numbers of The Last of Us Part I. Early next year, Sony will release The Last of Us Part II Remastered on PS5. My guess is that the company will also bring it to the PC. So, after Horizon: Forbidden West, we might get God of War: Ragnarok or The Last of Us Part II. And if that’s the case, I’ll be a bit disappointed.

Even if the remastered came to PC 6 months after the PS5 release, the original game it’s from 2018, it shouldn’t be seen as a new release. And HZD shouldn’t count as an example, it was the first first-party game released on PC, people were overhyped.
IMO in the end it has nothing to do with the time lapse between releases, it’s about the quality of the game and it’s port.
Another way to look at some data is to look for the stuff that is not there. It probably sold more that Miles Morales and Uncharted 4 together, but TLOU1 is MIA.

yes thank you thats what i said as well, that was litteraly me, it sucked, combat is awful, hated the camera, the dialogues suck, its too much shtty busywork, took me months to finish because i dropped it and played other games, but hey credit were its due, while i hated the game, the ending was good, i wont ruin it with a even more woke sequel. I played every exclusive of Sony on PC and the only one i enjoyed was Days Gone but days gone also has its flaws but i enjoyed that game.

That looks like either a fake slide or just some intentional leak and a fake tbh So drawing conclusions from it is useless. Sony pc releases are hit and miss, the ratchet game was fun and great looking ran fine but very bloated size wise for a 20hr mostly on rails game. I tried Spiderman Remastered but never got into it much, not a big spiderman fan cringey teenager etc didn’t look that great imo.
HZD is way overrated but was amazing to look at, story and characters are like hook garbage etc tranee main protag. Stuttery in larger settlements. GOW last release wasn’t that interesting either quick run through, gone. Sackboy was a total mess at release no idea now but for something that is Hat in Time like the 50gb or so size is just wasteful. I did enjoy Days Gone so that and the Ratchet game were fun. Uncharted is a movie game not my thing especially the bundle only, 2 games 100gb or nothing, doing a justar DE thing there.
There is no killer release on pc by sony to me, no must have over a few games. And 60$ years later is nonsense, wouldn’t care in the least if none of them ever came to pc, like gta6. A little bandwidth, space and time no money works though.

yeah, but i think that the reason the sales are as the are is because it was the first time pc players got to play one of the fabled ps exlusives, anyway it sucked ,i hated the game and took me months to finally finish it, however, i will give them this, the ending was good, most games is the opposite i dont hate them but the ending sucks. So i dont know if i will play the sequel. Propably not, id rather get ghost of weebishuma.
