A few hours ago, Capcom revealed the PC requirements for Dragon’s Dogma 2. And, from the looks of it, this game will be using the Denuvo anti-tamper tech. Moreover, the team shared a new gameplay video that you can find below. So, be sure to watch it after the jump.
To be honest, this should come as a surprise. After all, Capcom has been using Denuvo in all of its latest PC releases. Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be powered by the RE Engine and so far, we haven’t seen a game that had performance issues due to Denuvo.
Now you may remember some stuttering issues in Resident Evil Village. But guess what? It wasn’t Denuvo’s fault; it was Capcom’s very own anti-tamper tech. And when crackers exposed those issues, Capcom fixed them with an update.
Let’s also not forget that Capcom has removed Denuvo from most of its older Resident Evil games. Resident Evil Village, Resident Evil 2 Remake, and Resident Evil 3 Remake no longer have it. On the other hand, Resident Evil 4 Remake still has it, though it’s only a matter of time until Capcom removes it from it too.
In conclusion, I don’t expect Denuvo to cause any performance issues. Of course, that’s my assumption and nothing more. Until we try it, we’ll never know for sure. Still, all RE Engine games performed incredibly well on PC. So I’m pretty sure that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will also run great.
Capcom will release Dragon’s Dogma 2 on March 22nd, 2024. The game will also support Ray Tracing. Thus, it will be interesting to see how the team will utilize it. Will it use it to only improve the game’s reflections? Or will we see some ray-traced shadows and global illumination?
Enjoy the following gameplay video and stay tuned for more!

This is Capcom:
MODS = CHEATING
NUDITY MODS = are OFFENSIVE TO PUBLIC ORDER AND MORAL
Meanwhile, stuffing their games like this one with Microtransactions to prey on addicts, is of course….morally acceptable.

Medieval + fantasy + save the world = virgin dream.
Now make a game about us normal folks who aren’t socially inept or into things that smelly fat weirdos are.
lets be honest, a game about we fat smelly weirdos would be a piece of crap
You’re not wrong, but that’s not what I’m saying.
so essentially Boogie2988
Certainly looks the part.
Nothing normal about you mate, you’re not fooling anyone but yourself.
Is there any particular reason as to why you feel offended good sir?
You’re not being subtle here.
sports themed games (Fifa, F1) if male, or the Sims for you.
You okay lil bro? I thought Jews got yo a*s.
Where have you been?
And exactly what kind of game would that be?
You do a lot of whining and complaining but you never seem to ever offer any solid solutions …..
Any fool can point out problems, however it takes true genius to actually solve those problems.
What am I supposed to solve exactly?
This is how unbelievable arrogant Capcom has become:

Mods = We don’t make money from them = Bad. Most MT’s that are in reality way overprice mods… = Good. Surprise that they view it that way? Not really. Suit greed equal sub-human morality, it’s simple as that!

You are taking what happened out of context… It was dealing with a nude mod that happened during a live Street Fighter 6 tournament
I’m going to give you the benefit of the doubt that you haven’t seen Capcom’s presentations. Capcom has done whole slideshow rants about mods that go way beyond that 1 incident. They have done whole rants about why games need DRM too.

I wouldn’t even watch the trailers on YouTube without getting paid, now they demand $60 with Deunovo on top. The sheer audacity of these people, smh.
Good luck with that Capcom.
WTF are game developers still releasing game videos in 1080p maximum? It’s not like it’s harder to record gameplay in 4K anymore ….. Even Ubisoft has caught on to this but still many developers are way behind the curve ……
F*ck Capcom and F*ck Denuvo! Neither of them are getting any $ from me.
If a game runs bad that uses Denuvo it’s because the dev’s are trash for PC. This game will be another Capcom hit. Buying it day 1. Not gonna be a Doomer like most of the clowns in the comments 😀

But seriously, don’t buy any game on day 1. This is not the old days when we bought boxed copies from a store and the store might run out if you waited. Steam won’t run out of copies for sale.
Even if the game is great it will still need to be patched and polished. Why not, at the very least, wait a while for the best gaming experience?
“gaming experience” That’s why games sucks these days. Everybody bought into game companies PR BS about “gaming experience” Just have fun and play the damn game 😀

any denuvo game , i’ll buy with 3 dollars offline version to play, does it stop piracy? nope , f*k them.
Videogame prices are out of control and DD2 is no exception. I’m good for it considering how rare interesting AAA games are anyway, but without denuvo many people would be absolutely justified in pirating this. So it’s a decent solution to a self-inflicted problem in that way. lol
J@p publishers loves infecting games with Cancerous DRM.
looked at the steam page and saw this game was $95 cad… LOOOL! Denuvo doesn’t bug me at all. But overpriced games sure do. Def don’t care to buy this. Don’t even understand who out there is willing to shell out the money for this either. The first game was an ok hack and slash. Not like it was or is part of some huge brand name. Expecting and hoping it tanks
Welp! Was looking forward to this. Gonna pass, until its bargain bin. See you in 2026/2027
Capcom and Square seem pretty good about removing Denuvo. SEGA is another matter. They must have sold their souls to Denuvo or something. How come they can afford to keep Denuvo for so long while bigger publishers remove it after a year or two? Empress hates anime games but ironically this is where denuvo is hurting people most. Other publishers usually remove denuvo and make the crack obsolete. Sega and Ubisoft are where the problem is.
Hong Dongs can go f themselves for all I care.
