Modder ‘L3X4RS’ has released a pretty cool mod for CD Projekt RED’s action adventure game, Cyberpunk 2077. This mod attempts to restore the crowd/NPCs from the E3 2018 build. In total, it restores around 100 NPCs that were cut from the final version.
Now I should note that this mod does not increase the crowd/NPC density. As such, you won’t see the same amount of NPCs on screen with the E3 2018 build. What this mod does is basically increase the diversity of the NPCs. This means that you won’t be seeing the exact same NPCs over and over again while exploring Nightcity.
Unfortunately, the modder has not shared any showcase video. That’s a bummer as I’d really like to see these new NPCs. Still, since the mod adds new clothes and accessories to NPCs, we can consider it a freemium DLC Mod.
You can go ahead and download this mod from this link. Crowd E3 2018 Restored only affects citizens, and it does not alter the appearance of the secondary or main NPCs.
If you’re into Cyberpunk 2077, there are some other cool mods you should check out. You can get the Enhanced Photo Mode Unlocker, which makes taking pictures even cooler. There’s also a mod that allows cars to fly, and other mods that can open up new areas to explore. Oh, and don’t forget the Metro System Mod or Cyberpunk 2077 HD Reworked Project 2.0. Additionally, there’s a mod that adds realistic ragdoll physics to finishing moves. Plus, Law Enforcement Overhaul is a mod that enhances the game’s Police System. And there’s even a mod that integrates the OpenAI API which enables ChatGPT support. Finally, you can get an HD Texture Pack that improves the quality of most major/main NPCs.
Have fun!

Nice. But down the road I would like modders to stat making gigs or complete side quests that start making use of the vast exapnse of unused area in this game. Kinda like Fan made missions in other games do, aka Thief 1/2/3 or The Darkmod.
Difficult to do without the full dev tools. CDPR is releasing Witcher 3s dev tools, so there is some hope they will release this game’s dev tools.
Ah, well thats disappointing. I thought that was Red Tools were..?
This has such a vague description that it’s hard to know what he’s talking about without just booting up, he says it would take too many pictures but just one or two where differences are pointed out with simple paint markup would convey enough info. I have noticed with the 2.0 version that sometimes the “clone” npcs are much more common at times, so the “more variables” like he says would be good.
I think Missing Persons which was recently updated for 2.x is one of the most added things to do, mod there is, a reason to keep playing and explore the world, at least the macabre death scenes cpdur littered around the map, there’s never really any pleasant things other than the occasional safe stashes with shard stories. There is also the Hidden Packages mod that just adds in little holographic cube things to explore and find spread around the map, which you can set to give you xp/money via native settings UI menu. Make A living Courier was pretty good for 1.60 not sure if it’s updated for 2.x though, for making money and use the way too many drop points useful. Timed deliveries are harder than you think w traffic etc Less GTA than car “deliveries” cpdur put in for 2.x.
The modder Deceptious added a few basic quests via his own quest core, too simple for my taste though and adds more mods on my already huge pile but some might find them nice. I doubt we’ll ever get in depth huge story adds for this game though, too much work for a single modder and doesn’t look like there is a group willing to take the case. At least until we know cpdur isn’t going to make huge sweeping changes like 2.0. By that time the active players would prob be too low to make donation based modding worth it at huge scenario levels anyways.
