Microsoft Store will apply this update to the game the next time you launch its client. On the other hand, the Steam version will include to the pre-loaded version (which will become available tomorrow).
For those unaware, a performance report for Starfield was leaked earlier today. According to that leak, Starfield runs with 45-60fps at 1440p/High Settings with FSR 2.0 on NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti.

13 Gb just for that ? lol
performance improvements.. from 45fps with a rtx 4090 in 1440p Ultra to 47 fps Hooray!
Starfield reportedly runs with 45-60fps at 1440p/High Settings on NVIDIA RTX 2080Ti !!!
Around half of the power of lousy 4070.
Are you actually saying the 4070 is twice as fast as the 2080 ti? If so then you are beyond clueless as a 4070 is less than 30% faster overall. https://www.techpowerup.com/review/nvidia-geforce-rtx-4070-founders-edition/32.html
This is amazing result on such old card. Nobody expected high details on card two generations back
I still have my Asus 2080 TI and I play everything Ultra and it seems just fine (if you stick with 1440p). Not sure what the 4xxx series equivalent is, but I think there is still life left in it, in my opinion.
Slightly above 4060 Ti.
i am not impressed
Animations frequently bug out, here you can see it in the lower legs.

Another Bugthesda game, modders will fix it however.
Most bug free Bethesda launch with a 13GB patch???
1000 bug fixes on bauldurs gate 3, totally finished game guys.
Water is unfinished and made up of concrete in the game. You can walk over water.

Is this even water? It’s like melt iron
Cyberpunk 2077 school of water simulation.
is this earth? what if its not water. the density of the material may be grater then the object on top
The density of that water on that planet could be greater than the water on earth. Like the Dead Sea but even more dense.
It may be bug, old bug, or – a feature of planet diversity :p

This is probably the weirdest of them all.
Bethesda/Microsoft would only give a review copy to Eurogamer, if Digital Foundry did the review, and not its parent company Eurogamer.

The woke clown show that is Eurogamer being blacklisted by Microsoft in this instance is rather amusing!
what happened i cant see his post
Microsoft is woke as hell. Nobody there knows what a woman is. Why would one woke company not give a code to another?
Indeed. That’s partly why it amused me.
been playing everspace 2 lately ,the further you get to the game the further you get to its long development cycle and the worse the perfomance gets hence why it has the requirements it has, which reminds me, when you benchmark starfield dont benchmark the intro, obviously that area will have much better framerate than later on.
This will be the biggest Bethesda title yet and expectations for if to be as bug-free as possible is at an all time high.
Is Starfield just one elaborate Fallout 4 mod? That is the vibe I am getting.
“This first update is 13GB in size on PC”
Yet, moröns ask why I pirate every game I can. The industry doesn’t respect me, so I’ll ever retribute the favor.
