Remedy has just announced a small delay for its highly anticipated third-person action thriller, Alan Wake 2. According to the team, this small delay should give gamers enough time to enjoy other games that will also come out in October.
An update from the Alan Wake 2 team: we're moving Alan Wake 2's launch from October 17 to October 27.
October is an amazing month for game launches and we hope this date shift gives more space for everyone to enjoy their favorite games.
We can't wait to show you what everyone's… pic.twitter.com/GpLxyr2xvY

Alan Wake 2 was originally meant to come out on October 17th. The game will now target an October 27th release, meaning that it was only delayed by just ten days.
Again, this delay has nothing to do with the development of Alan Wake 2. Remedy has simply moved its release date so that it can avoid other games that will come out in the same month. So yeah, this shouldn’t really trouble, disappoint or annoy most of you.
In Alan Wake 2, players will continue the writer’s story and experience Remedy’s first foray into survival horror. According to the developers, players will assume the role of both Alan Wake and a new female FBI agent. And, from the looks of it, their stories will be interconnected.
As we’ve already reported, Alan Wake 2 will be exclusive on Epic Games Store. At least at launch. My guess is that the game will hit Steam in 2024. Moreover, Remedy has not revealed yet the game’s official PC system requirements.
Stay tuned for more!

when are you going to kill that rainbow?
Most of these people are utterly broke, can’t do their own taxes, don’t know the basics of finance, business, and economy, but they’re always there to give you their -200IQ take.

As for going broke? My brother in christ, the first game went broke, wokeness is what you do when you go broke so you get esg money.
I like your optimism that this is coming to steam John! From what I’ve seen there’s not much indication it will.
They should cancel Alan Woke
Not woke enough?
Need to additionally fine tune color skins!
Probably needs more time to render the beehives hair.
Saga Anderson: The Case of Alan Woke 2
John, no offense but your duty as a reporter is to write down the games releasing in October that might have possibly motivated Remedy to delay the game. Come on man, small details like that make the reader happy, and the journo professional. We know that it’s hot in Greece right now but come on man
But are any of those using UE5?
Hope it’ll be optimized for AMD Hardware (CPU/GPU) !!!!!! because Nvidia has ruined “Control” with it’s RT Bulls###t !!!
and the cycle of preemptive marketing continues. another game that showed off gameplay and a bunch of screenshots only to disappear again.

yeah i dont get why they make demakes, at least tomb raider has an excuse as the modding community for the old games is very talented and make great custom campaigns and the old games have objectively better gameplay and level design.
Sam Lake: Alan is still important in this game! I promise!
Me: Is he more important than Saga?
Sam Lake: Ummmmmmmmmm
Alan Wake 2: Saga’s Revenge
