  1. This thing look on par with sonic 4. A downloadable game from the 7th gen that you could get for a low price.

This is such a letdown after the last sonic game. Of only they could iterate on that foundation they had.

  2. I was thinking it would cost $10-$15.

Instead, this 2D game will cost $60.

They can shove it where the sun doesn’t shine.

    1. I had to look it up, and holy crap you’re right. As confirmed by the official Sonic the Hedgehog twitter account, they’re indeed charging $60 US for this.

IMO $10-15 might be a bit too low of an asking price. I’d say $30-40 would be more fair. $60 would be appropriate deluxe physical edition. But not for the standard version. That’s just too much.

        1. I’d like to think most of us here are better than that. However, you can’t deny that publishing companies are definitely going to exploit those NPC types that just HAVE to pre-order everything. Especially those creepy chris-chan types are just going to eat this up. Sega will milk this fan-base with a low budget yet overpriced game as this will make for some tidy profit.

  3. A little bit off-topic, but I use a RSS app, QuiteRSS, and I usually receive most of your articles but not all of them, John. For example, I didn’t get this one, I wonder why.

    As for the game, ew!
When will the understand that 3D doesn’t work well for Sonic, and for most traditional side-scrolling platformers anyway?

And art direction is all over the place, most elements don’t even go well with each other. The first Sonic games had such a better art direction (or however you call it for video games).
