Ascendant Studios has just revealed the official PC system requirements for its upcoming Unreal Engine 5-powered FPS, Immortals of Aveum. And, oh boy buckle up because these PC requirements are ridiculously high.
For gaming at 1080p/60fps with Low/Medium settings, the team suggests using an NVIDIA RTX2080 Super. Yeap, an RTX2080 Super will only be able to handle the game at Low/Medium settings. And as for AMD, the developers suggest using an RX 5700XT for Low/Medium settings.
For gaming at 1440p/60fps with Medium/High Settings, Ascendant Studios recommends an NVIDIA RTX3080Ti or an AMD Radeon 6800XT. Ouch.
The game will be also using DX12.1, and will require 110GB of free hard-disk space. Naturally, the developers recommend using an SSD.
Ascendant Studios has also shared a gameplay video and the only thing that impressed me was its LOD. From the looks of it, the game will be using Nanite, meaning that there won’t be any major pop-ins of objects. According to the devs, the game will also take advantage of Lumen.
Immortals of Aveum will release on July 20th and will be one of the first games that will be using Unreal Engine 5. Ascendant Studios claims that this is a true current-gen game, so we’re really looking forward to benchmarking it!

These are rediculously high?
You should check out gollum.
How ? the game looks like it was made in 2014 LMFAO
How many of these generic FPS can they make.
Haven’t they ran out of 14-year-old boys yet who play this stuff.
Exactly..More POS trash for the braindeads huh!
RiP PC GAMING !!

John you must pay me first if you want me to watch these trailers. Also, tell EA to pay me first if they want me to play this game.
How did they manage to make the magic look more gay than the magic in Harry Potter
How can magic look gay exactly?
Just Imagine how a barbarian uses sword then compare it to a fencing match.
Same goes for magic. Imagine Gandalf or the dudes from hexen and heretic games then compare it to this game.
it’s probably all that Rainbow Vomit spamming the screen that make it use a lot more resources than a common game remember when Crytek added in Tesselation hidden under the floor that is not visible to falsely make it seem that Crysis 2 was more resource intensive than it actually was I am guessing this is not that different or they just failed to optimize the game properly and are just ramping up the required hardware to make up for it.
They surely slashes many potential buyer with unoptimised port like this. The highest GPU in latest Steam Survey is RTX 3060 that perform a bit under RTX 2070 and they wouldnt be able to play this game at 1080p60
I would say ALL of us should skipp such unoptimized sh*t. I rock a 4090 and it will sure run it but i would never consider buying it and won ´t ever support bad optimized pc games anymore.
Wouldn ´t argue if it would come with pathtracing like Cyberpunk but 1440p MID-high (not even max) 60 and asking for a 3080ti… go f* off is all i am saying to them.
…A good deal of Steam players aren’t even current or past gen gamers and the market doesn’t revolve around the PC market anyway instead of the current gen of consoles. The developers don’t and won’t see the PC platform the main platform to play the game anyway.
It’s naive to bring up Steam Survey that’s not even opt-out for what current-gen-oriented game developers do—by default their games aren’t for majority of gamers.
It looks like a mediocre engine technical demo instead of a proper game, they better attatch a reaaaally good plot/story to it (highly unprobable) if they have any hope for this to not be another flob.
Also besides the high requeriments, being back to that point where most things feel the same because unreal engine does not help.
It makes sense, John.
I have always wanted a sequel to Heretic this game looks like it will do the trick. If this is how UE5 games are going to treat PCs though I may have to upgrade my 3080 sooner than I thought heh.
Rofl, this game has the highest hardware requirements ever Why???
Maybe because of its UE4 graphics and AA stench???
– AA/eurojank game title 1st warning alert right there
– AA/eurojank context-inappropriate college-dude main character
– forced inclusivity, chubby indian sidekick and muscly gender-fluid shaved-head colored-hair female
– ultra generic last-gen mashup of gameplay, world and character design.
– AA graphics with tremendous requirements
– EA publisher
What to hell did you expect – to run on a 20 year old GPU at 120 fps ?
We expect some level of optimization. A very high end GPU from 2019 like the 2080 Super should be able to run a game that looks like it was released in 2015 with ease at 1080p max at the very least.
It’s a decently scalable engine. Fartnite got moved to unreal engine 5.1 and it can scale all the way down to potato-tier PCs. My guess is the suits at EA aren’t giving the developers enough time to properly polish this game and making them rush development.
3080Ti for 60fps at medium settings, lmao
Looks like the screen is constantly throwing up with colors.
HAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHA-.
Wait, you’re serious? Let me laugh even harder…
HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA
WTF???
lol they weren’t kidding when they said the days of optimization were over.
I’m not surprised by this at all in fact I predicted this over 2 years ago
A game’s minimum requirements will basically be that of a PS5 or Series X and a 3700X and a 5700XT is basically a PS5 … Slightly stronger CPU and a slightly weaker GPU
