It appears that some early gameplay footage and screenshots for Dragon Age 4, Dragon Age: Dreadwolf, have been leaked online. These screenshots are reportedly from an alpha build, meaning that they obviously do not represent the quality of the final product.
According to the leaker, these screenshots originate from a 20-minute gameplay video. Although that video has not been leaked, it is reportedly set within the Gray Warden fortress HQ of Weisshaupt.
From the looks of it, the combat in Dragon Age: Dreadwolf will be in real-time. As reported by various sources, the combat will be similar to a hack-and-slash game. Players will have their regular combo attack, as well as abilities. Furthermore, there is a special bar which generates allowing you to pull off a special move.
Dragon Age: Dreadwolf also promises to have better animations that its predecessors. And, the game will still allow players to jump.
There is currently no ETA on when this new Dragon Age will come out.

Going by how incompetent publishers like EA are, the sequel cannot be better than the prequels. These games only get worse.

Inquisition felt like an offline MMO. Next one is going to be a live service game for sure.

The writing will be done by a bunch of 24 years old mentally ill communists. The level design and RPG system will be done by a bunch of incompetent inexperienced people who got the job because of any reason other than their competency and experience.

I’ve played a bit of the beta/early access and the only thing I hate is that there is no zoning/level matching. You’re just exploring and then all of a sudden you’re up against an opponent that totally outmatches your party. It seems to happen quite a bit too.

It’s impossible to really tell anything from that little clip, so I’m still excited about it. I just did another playthrough of Dragon Age: Inquisition and it reminded me of how much I love the series (mostly).
