Digital Extremes has launched Cross Platform Play support for Warframe, allowing PC gamers to play alongside their friends on PlayStation, Xbox, and Nintendo Switch.
Sheldon Carter, chief operating officer at Digital Extremes, said:
“Warframe will always be a game best played and enjoyed with friends and that’s why launching Cross Platform Play is such an incredible moment for us. Together with our partners, we have broken down the walls that have prevented our players from experiencing the thrill of Warframe as one united community. Now, you can complete bounties and adventure across our open worlds or jump into new co-op Survival missions in our Lua’s Prey update with friends unrestricted by platform. Get ready for even more opportunities to make friends across the Origin System.”
Warframe’s Cross Platform Play feature can be turned on and off in the game Options Menu. When the feature is enabled, a players’ platform icon will be displayed next to their name. They can Chat, join Squads, and can expect expedited Public Matchmaking as other players across all platforms in the Origin System join in for the Missions ahead. Players across all platforms can also meet in Relays and Dojos, however, VoIP chat features will be added in the future and are currently unavailable.
Digital Extremes is also working on Cross Platform Save. This optional service will allow players to migrate their progress from one platform to another. Unfortunately, though, there is no ETA on when Cross Platform Save will become available.

I used to enjoy this game, always got the urge to go back to play it too but the last time I went back i could do nothing but cringe at all the woke crap in it.
This crossplay functionality was supposed to be coming in 2020 if I remember right.

Man, gay pride month, they were all over it. Rainbow flags all over the UI, rainbow skins, gay pride glyphs etc ..god only knows if they kept it in, they likely did. The game literally has at least one varient of a “non binary” and a trans frame even before the gay pride fiesta. Anyone that expressed how fed up they were of it on the DE forums and even on Steam forum were threatened with bans for being “disrespectfull”. Apparently Its ok to crap all over and disrespect people with traditional Christian values, but say anything about seeing too much of the rainbow flag and they loose their sh*t.
