In November 2017, we informed you about an HD Texture Pack for Batman: Arkham City. And today, we are happy to report that modders “GPUnity” and “Neato” have released its final version which overhauls over 1000 textures.
Going into more details, Arkham City Redux is the definitive HD Texture Pack for Batman: Arkham City GOTY. The pack features over a thousand upscaled, retouched, refined and manually improved textures. Additionally, it has complete DirectX 11 support and a straightforward, one-time installation.
This Texture Pack updates the visuals of the game’s characters and environments. What’s also cool here is that it keeps the game’s original aesthetics intact.

asylum has better story. i wish they do a remake.
perrhaps, but i found this to be the better game. knight was trash and the suicide game looks like trash and or vaporware at this point. City was the last good batman game. might replay with this and other mods.

Asylum is my favorite, but City is a better game overall.
But I’m one of those that also thinks that Batman Begins is a better movie than The Dark Knight.
Asylum is just fine as it is.
It also has an Unreal Engine 4 port on consoles. We don’t need another version.
Also revamped tessellation and increased draw distance for tessellation.
I’d also advocate not using HBAO anymore and using ReShade MXAO for better and more comprehensive AO. Or combine them.
Now if someone would be able to do a Physx 5 injector so we would get full hardware Physx via CPU with great performance. Dreams, I know.
I recently replayed Arkham Asylum with the HD textures and the Arkham Launcher, alongside ReShade MXAO. It was a tremendous experience at 4K120.
Seems Arkham City is next.
I set it up few weeks back in the same way, and it looks amazing! Haven’t played more than the first 30 mins, but planning to play it all the way, and then Arkham City!

Rest in peace Kevin Conroy! 66 years old is too soon. He is and forever be my Batman. I have fond memories because of him. Watching the animated series/movies or playing the games was such a tremendous experience because his performance was top notch. One of the best voice actors ever and most definitely the best Batman representation in general. Live action Bruce Wayne and even Batman if Hollywood was not so ignorant.

I replayed it a couple of years ago with an older version of this mod. Gameplay still holds up really well and at this point I’d wager most of us have the PC hardware to max out the game (including enabling phsyx) and still get high framerates. Totally worth replaying if you’ve got the spare time.
