New 4K screenshots and gameplay video for The Callisto Protocol

KRAFTON has shared a new set of 4K screenshots for its upcoming third-person horror game, The Callisto Protocol. In addition, GamesRadar shared a preview video, showcasing 8 minutes of gameplay footage from the game.

The Callisto Protocol is a new story-driven, single-player survival horror game from the creators of Dead Space. In this game, players will assume the role of Jacob. Jacob will be able to use ‘GRP’ abilities to push and pull things toward him. Additionally, the game will feature both ranged combat and melee.

The PC version of the game will most likely support Ray Tracing effects. As we’ve already reported, PC gamers should expect ray-traced shadows and ray-traced reflections. Or at least that’s what the developers have implied.

KRAFTON will release The Callisto Protocol on December 2nd, 2022.

Enjoy!

  1. The combat looks so brutal & the environment is unnerving as if its hammering you into this game. Its incredible.

      1. Still, this is the most promising survival horror in years, we’re living in an era where the best of the genre is a remake of a 20 years+ old zombie game that isn’t even scary or stressful, we don’t have so much matter to complain about this one, wait and see though

  2. this looks awesome overall but i still cant believe they havent fixed the inconsistent FPS at times. seems like it just need to come out already so they can do some performance patches.

  3. I really can’t get into these sorts of games with deliberately clunky/trudgey movement, slow aiming, limited field of view and visibility. I just find it frustrating, not atmospheric. Dark Space and RE games… also Metro Exodus… meh

    1. It’s not a survival anymore if you can easily fight your enemies, that has nothing to do with atmosphere but rather weakening the player so he can feel tension

    2. It increases tension. I understand though. I can play Silent Hill 2, as you still have some ability to fight, but I cannot play something like Amnesia, where you just have to run and hide.

  4. Very nice post. I just stumbled upon your blog and wanted to say that I’ve really enjoyed browsing your blog posts. In any case I’ll be subscribing to your feed and I hope you write again soon!
