The Sims 4 will be free to download on PC on October 18th

Electronic Arts has announced that the base version of The Sims 4 will be completely free on the PC on October 18th and onwards. On October 18th, PC gamers will be able to download the base game and keep it theirs forever.

As EA stated:

“With The Sims 4 going free to play, our team is more dedicated than ever to developing new and meaningful The Sims 4 experiences for our players and we will continue to develop and release packs, kits and Sims Delivery Express drops into the foreseeable future. We’ll be sharing more about what’s in the works during a special-edition stream, Behind The Sims Summit on October 18, 2022 at 10 am PDT”

  1. To buy this game with all expansions costs over £880 so im guessing theyre trying to bait people in with the base game for free and then pester them with in game popups for the expansions.

  2. After all the years this “games” have, I still don’t get why people like to “simulate” the real life. I already have a real life, I play video games to do crazy fantasy stuff not possible in real life.
