Assassin's Creed Mirage official screenshots-1

Here are the first official 4K screenshots for Assassin’s Creed Mirage

Ubisoft has just released the first official 4K screenshots for its upcoming AC game, Assassin’s Creed Mirage. Like pretty much all previous AC games, Mirage will be using the Ubisoft Anvil Engine, and these screenshots will give you an idea of what you can expect from it.

In Assassin’s Creed Mirage, players will experience the story of Basim, a cunning street thief seeking answers and justice as he navigates the bustling streets of ninth-century Baghdad.

As the official description reads.

“After an act of deadly retribution, Basim flees Baghdad and joins an ancient organization – The Hidden Ones. As he learns their mysterious rituals and powerful tenets, he will hone his unique abilities, discover his true nature, and come to understand a new Creed – one that will change his fate in ways he never could have imagined.”

Assassin’s Creed Mirage will focus on stealth and will have dense environments. Here are the game’s key features.

  • Experience a modern take on the iconic features and gameplay that have defined a franchise for 15 years.
  • Parkour seamlessly through the city and stealthily take down targets with more visceral assassinations than ever before.
  • Explore an incredibly dense and vibrant city whose inhabitants react to your every move. Uncover the secrets of four unique districts as you venture through the Golden Age of Baghdad.

Ubisoft plans to release Assassin’s Creed Mirage in 2023.

Enjoy!

      1. they downgraded the visuals because they didn’t want to channel resources into optimisation or visual upgrades…many of the graphics experts have apparently left Ubi since Unity and they realised casuals were actually pleased with less so they thought to themselves”why even try? this way we can also keep it on last-gen (ps4, X1) and sell a ton more “

    1. mate. Unity was a magic from the boss Alex Amancio (the father of Far Cry 2). None can beat that graphical fidelity.

    2. Unity used baked lighting, hence no time of day changes. Producing lighting of that quality in real time would be too demanding on base PS4 / XB1 hardware, which Mirage will be releasing on.

That said, these screenshots are terribly compressed, so I would hold off judgement until you can see the game running on PC at native 4k with all the settings turned up.

  1. There’s some heavy compression artifacting in those screenshots. Almost like someone dragged the quality slider down below 80% when they saved them.

Someone needs to let them know that if they want to compress a screenshot that much, then they should use a newer image format with better compression like WEBP or AVIF. I think all major browsers can handle both formats these days, and I think WEBP has support on all major platforms (AVIF may require additional plugins/libraries be installed for OS support and some image viewers/editors may not support it at all).

      1. It’s definitely compression artifacts. Just look at the smoke in the 2nd image and notice the awful blocks of red. Upscaling doesn’t create artifacts like that.

        1. It’s a combination of both then, compression doesn’t create such edge aliasing and ghosting, which is present in every image.

Congrats to the two retards for downvote.

  2. Arabs (Palestinians and other sand rat ethnicities) are very unattractive. This is not historically accurate at all.
@fnd Tell people how ugly your dirty looking mother is you ugly 165cm sand monkey.

    1. @adamslowinski:disqus T@gging only works if the person you want to tag posted on this comment section, here’s hoping you can figure this out with your IQ.

      1. Well, when I have people like you and him replying to every single one of my posts, I don’t even have to click on your profiles. It’s interesting that you think clicking on links requires IQ though. If you think about it, the average IQ there is 80 so the standards are really low as it is evident.
I bet this didn’t go as well as you hoped abduli 🙂

      2. So here’s an interesting data, this is you in a single month :

This means on average, you’ve replied to me twice a day
Here’s another one for the other rytarded sand n*gger :

Half of these are unanswered or ignored tags. All I can say for you guys is you better start praying to whatever shetskin god you believe in because goddamn both of you are mentally ill.

          1. That makes you even dumber, you really have an uncanny ability to box yourself between 2 stupid positions.

          2. If I was stuck between 2 stupid positions, you’d be addressing my stupid position instead of pulling a “no, you” card.
It’s clear you have nothing to say, brought up the tag argument, made you look stupid again, and now you’re throwing tantrum.

          3. You just did address your stupid position with an even dumber position, that’s my point. Now back to your scheduled crying tantrums… Also low at “made you look stupid”, just look at your downvotes buddy.

          4. >fails to tag
            >claims it doesn’t need to, even though it tried early and failed.

Not hard to grasp, unless your username is @adamslowinski:disqus .

    2. You are literally crying in every game about forced diversity and lack of historical accuarcy and when they actually gave you hisrtorical accuarcy about the Golden Arab age with Arab warriors you are mad ?
      lmao mental illness

      1. First, I always had leftist positions on this site, you’re confusing me with someone else.
Second, the Arab golden age never existed. Most people who contributed to the so-called golden age of Islam are non-Arabs, Persians to be specific, and you know how they feel about Arabs.

        1. The jewish leftist progressive caucus have at least the prudency to hide their true feelings about various non jewish groups (except whites in some cases) so it’s not hard to see why chillbruh is “confusing you with someone else”. Hope that helps.

      2. Actually he constantly attacks people that “cry” about those things, it’s just that he does have some heavy resentment towards arabs and muslims.

    3. Lmao, how sad has your trolling become, even your lib friends hated it, and all of this just to say you have ghey fellings for arabs covered from head to toe? Pathetic.

    1. Interesting story 2007 Assassin’s Creed was supposed to be a Prince of Persia title but they just went to a different direction with it and it became it’s own title, Sadly it became too popular thus Ubisoft not making an effort to revive Prince of Persia anytime soon.

  3. Ubisoft as a company has really done a turnaround for themselves.

If you would have told me 5 years ago that they would still be supporting a game to this day like Rainbow Six or the division 2 as well as Assassin’s Creed Van I would have just loled

Now they just need to show actual gameplay of the game

    1. Turned around as a company? What planet are you from? They rehash the same game over and over again. They know exactly what they are doing, they don’t care because the sheep will buy a reskin of the same product over and over again.

    1. Origins on PC maz settings 4k looks stupid good. This isn’t a bad thing. They’re also going back to non RPG, action adventure, parkour, and stealth roots per their showcase.

  4. Come on Ubisoft. Don’t mess this up. You have started to sound good again. Be the old great grand Ubisoft that we admire of.

    1. This. As much as I wanted to rhyme with the same, ubisoft itself would do something to p*ss off some of its core fans. But let’s hope they’ll surprise everyone. Hopefully…

  5. Dont get too excited, this is repurposed Valhalla DLC. Its gonna play and feel like Valhalla.
Maybe the new Japanese based entry will be with a different formula but i doubt it.

    1. Mirage is reusing the Valhalla’s anvil engine but wont play like Valhalla i.e non-RPG
(at least marketing says, “back to roots”)
Project Red (Japan) will be the traditional AC RPG.
And Project Hexe will not be RPG as well but will be something very different, since Clint Hocking is directing that, so there’s a bit of hope with Hexe.

      1. Believe me. It’s not gonna look any better from this point out. The graphics are last gen. Same plastic look with bad lighting and basic shading. A perfect example of what lazy developers on old tech can achieve. It’s basically a re-release of Origins.

  6. I can see there’s that cardboard cloth physics of hulhullalla. AC 1 had great cloth physics of its time with AC origins having the best in the series yet. God knows what starch upgrade they did to the clothes to have harder times flexing. “A ubi-cough- original”…
