Fntastic has announced that its upcoming survival MMO game, The Day Before, has been delayed until March 1st, 2023. Furthermore, the team revealed that it will switch from Unreal Engine 4 to Unreal Engine 5.
Here is the press announcement that Fntastic and Mytona issued.
The Day Before is a new open-world MMO survival that takes place in a deadly, post-pandemic America overrun by flesh-hungry infected and survivors killing each other for food, weapons, and cars.
From what we know, The Day Before aims to be a cross between The Last of Us and The Division. The game will have elements of PvP and PvE, pitting you against other players and the game’s take on zombies called infected.
It’s also worth noting that the game will support both Ray Tracing and DLSS on PC. NVIDIA claimed back in January that the game will feature ray-traced reflections, ambient occlusion, and RTX Global Illumination.
Stay tuned for more!

Imagine a post apocalyptic world where the electricity is not disrupted.
Lol this is what we get when we have a generation of entitled idiots who don’t understand basic infrastructure and systems that require resources and man power. Things just exist to them because it’s just “normal” these game devs are likely to have colored hair and are “activist” too.
Developers are from Yakutia, but OK.
ah, yes this fake game got “delayed” yet again. To the surprise of no one. This game is a really nice scam. It was obvious since the very first “trailer”, which was practically a very directed movie trying to be sold as gameplay. And then somehow, the “game” manages to keep sliping.
It was supposed to come out in a short while, then bam, almost a year off again. Until we learn there were 2 guys and they ran with the preorder money
thank you.
I am convinced this game does not exist
See ya next year then!
this game is ridiculously an obvious scam
clearly.
Scam?
current gamer logic
Dev: We’re delaying the game
gamer: WTF?
Dev: But it’ll be in UE5!
gamer: Hurrah! Nothing can beat UE5! Its the be all end all. The holy grail. Day 1 buy!
told ya.
RTX really does make a difference.

From the dev perspective, UE5 over UE4 is always a worthy replacement.
Another delay.
They were super radio silent, now month before release they announced this delay and engine switch.
In theory and according to Epic, switch is “easy”
But this game was, and stil is a SCAM.
AYY LMAO
