Nazralath: The Fallen World is a new Dark Souls-inspired dark fantasy action-adventure game

Euclidean Studios has announced a new story-driven, third-person, dark fantasy action-adventure game that is heavily inspired by Dark Souls and Planescape: Torment, called Nazralath: The Fallen World. In order to celebrate this announcement, the studio released the game’s debut trailer that you can find below.

Nazralath: The Fallen World promises to focus on a compelling narrative and exploration through a rich, strong sense of atmosphere and world.

Alongside Dark Souls and Planescape Torment, the game will have influences from the twisted works of Zdzis?aw Beksi?ski and H.P. Lovecraft.

The following trailer features some cutscenes and some gameplay sequences. However, the gameplay sequences appear to be really rough. Still, this is a game in an early development stage. Not only that, but Euclidean Studios is a small team.

Let’s hope that Nazralath: The Fallen World will be better than your average Dark Souls clones.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

The gayming industry in a nutshell.

    1. The developers of this have specifically pointed out that it’s not a soulslike. They have taken inspiration from the atmosphere of the Souls games, not the gameplay.

  2. it is as if the new generation of gamers has developed a tendency for masochism and wasting their time playing such games in the hope of receiving a 2-second gratification in exchange for hours lost to desperation and anger
the genre with the least technical achievements, variety of animations and storytelling
    once again less is more

    1. there are lots of animations, but honestly am one of “less is more” people. Tired of the next biggest thing, openworlds and just want atmospheric games. About 2 second gratification… it will depend on player. As someone who have gaming for years and played so many hard games (both new and old), difficulty doesn’t bother me that much.

  3. Souls-like?
    Didn’t you mean soul-less?
When even the playable character is a carbon copy of a shltty game, you already know what to expect from it.

    1. What do you have against a guy wearing armor? The enemies are more concerning imo, soul-less clones almost always fail to deliver on good enemy design.

      1. Nothing against the dude on the armor, actually. But, that’s the same dude portrayed in every game of From Software. These “devs” should go straight to jail and only after they could provide a real, decent and original game, they would be released.

        1. The difference is that you can wear many outfits in From games, where the clones you are stuck with only this armor, or at least way less outfits to choose from.

      1. Unfortunate, but it’s what happens when the crazy radicals pick up the tab and the people responsible neglect them.
