Ninja Theory has just released a new PC patch for Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice. According to the release notes, the December 7th Patch fixes the stuttering issues that people experienced with DX12. Moreover, it addresses the game’s ultra-wide screen issues.
Going into more details, Ninja Theory claims that it has fixed the DX12 stutters by pregenerating a package of shaders for both RT On and Off presets. As such, the game should, theoretically, run similarly to DX11 right now.
As always, Steam will download this update the next time you launch its client. Below you can also find its complete changelog.

It sure seems like one of those feminist “representative” games even more with that autism shlt.
When you’re autistic, everything seems to seem that way.
Its not, (in contrast of your recommended Mafia Definitive Edition witch have new cutscenes with politics topic added)
I played it, the theme didn’t involve any political themes, although it has huge problems with game design, it has some cool moments but in general its mediocre walking simulator with repeating puzzle and bad combat,
Apparently with lack of time they cobbled together what they have and to make it align to mental illness theme damaged quality of gameplay badly, its Bioshock Infinite situation, when it became a trend to praise it despite it serious flaws
Nah, it’s not. And i would be among the first to call out that bullcrap, you could argue that tries to get some chip on the shoulder from the topic of mental illness, but it does it well enough and is well implemented in the narrative, so any “female empowerment” situation is just the delusions of a poor woman, so you can see it as fantasy.
Of course they can ruin all that with the sequel and M$ pandering money demands.
Game still stutters tons for me in DX12. Looks like the patch didn’t do anything as there was no “pre-generating shaders” process.. and load times were the same as before.
I know this is old, but I’m dealing with this on Windows 11. On any settings. Purchased the game on Gog Galaxy. All up to date. Still trying to play it today.
Stutters every now and then, but runs smoothly when it doesn’t. High and low settings…
