Marvel's Avengers new feature

Despite promises, Marvel’s Avengers now has gameplay-related microtransactions

Prior to the release of Marvel’s Avengers, Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics were stating that the game would not feature lootboxes or pay-to-win mechanics. The teams were claiming that the game would only feature cosmetic microtransactions. However, the latest update for Marvel’s Avengers introduced paid XP boosters.

Gamers can currently pay real money in order to obtain consumables which can temporarily boost their amount of XP they receive or increase the number of resources they collect. Basically, these are paid XP boosters, which are gameplay-related MTX.

This also raises a yellow flag for Marvel’s Guardians of the Galaxy. Square Enix and EIDOS Montreal have stated that the game won’t have any micro-transcations. However, this may possibly be a PR stunt and nothing more.

It will be interesting to see how the fans of Marvel’s Avengers will react to this. It will also be interesting to see whether this decision will affect the sales of Guardians of the Galaxy.

Stay tuned for more!

    1. installing this game even if you pirated it…is like willingly giving cancer to your self….why on earth would anyone do that is the question

        1. but if you dislike the game so much, why even bother to pirate it? You are only showing that you do actually see some value in the game

  1. Even all of those 3 idiots who still play this filith buy all the microtransactions from this game, they wont make their money back.

  2. Who could’ve known that EA Japan wouldn’t keep to their word? Who could have possibly seen this coming……… aside from everyone?

    1. EA Japan? You high or something? Game is published by SQUARE ENIX you moron.
Compared to SE, EA is a f*king saint.

  3. Square Enix : Wow! Increase in player count? Lets celebrate:
    * Proceeds to shoot itself in the foot *

  4. Everything I’ve heard about this game is that it’s mediocre anyway. I don’t play mediocre games. There are better choices to spend my gaming time.

  5. Gaming communities are so pathetic, when they see one game become a commercial failure, people and nostalgitards love to pour fuel to the fire, they are just like the violent, left-leaning
US woke activists nowadays, zero IQ.
