Monster Hunter Rise is already playable on PC via the Nintendo Switch emulator, Ryujinx

Capcom has just released Monster Hunter Rise on Nintendo Switch and PC gamers can already play this new Monster Hunter game via the Ryujinx emulator. Yeap, you read that right. Monster Hunter Rise is fully playable on launch day on the Ryujinx.

Now according to the developers, emulation is not perfect yet as there are a couple of small bugs. For instance, navigating to the in-game album crashes the game. Additionally, performance is not that great and the devs promise performance improvements in future versions.

For what it’s worth, Capcom has already announced that Monster Hunter Rise will be officially coming to PC in early 2022. Thus, you can go ahead and skip this in case you want to enjoy the native PC version.

Below you can find a video showcasing Monster Hunter Rise running on PC via Ryujinx.

  1. When the fxck was 20 FPS with massive hitches considered playable? Did we watch the same video Johnny Boy?

    1. In “emulation land”, a game is playable when you can play it from start to finish without any game-breaking bugs (regardless of the framerate).
