The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild in 8K with Ray Tracing Reshade

Digital Dreams has shared an amazing video, showcasing The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild running in 8K with Ray Tracing Reshade. Thus, this video shows how PC gamers can experience this Zelda game via Nintendo WiiU emulators.

To be honest, this feels like a remaster of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild. I mean, this is exactly what we’d expect to see in a theoretical Nintendo Switch 2.

Speaking of The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, there are also two cool mods that PC gamers can use. The first one introduces an “Over the Shoulder” viewpoint. On the other hand, the second mod brings a first-person mode. Oh, and in case you’re wondering, the game can already run with 60fps in CEMU.

All in all, PC gamers can now experience this Zelda game in the best possible way. And, this right here, is why most of us love emulators.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

  1. its just sad that as the zelda games get more high res and better textures it seems to be losing the “nintendo” magic and starts to look like most rpgs. sad times.

    1. Screw your idea of “Nintendo magic”, I’d rather not play games at blurry sub-HD resolution and near slide show framerates. Eg Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is near unplayable on native hardware.

  2. You’ll have to forgive me, because I’m the most basic-ist of b*tches when it comes to truly understanding graphics API and tech.

I have Cemu and BOTW, which has the the patches for increased render resolution, LOD, shadow quality, contrast mods (which are basically Reshade profiles built into the emulator.)

I’m not sure I see what’s so much better than what I already have. What does the ray-tracing Reshade actually do? It doesn’t appear to be any different than the stock SSR in Cemu. But again, this isn’t my area of expertise.

  3. This was the worst main Zelda game and overall one of the most disappointing games ever (not really surprising, since the eighth console generation was so full of trashes anyway) IMO but it’s still MUCH better than the f ucking abysmal trashfest that was Nier AutoFARTA.

      1. Not saying that SS wasn’t disappointing, but it sure was miles better than BOTW trash, at least you don’t lose TEN MOTHERF UCKING HEARTS BECAUSE OF A SCRATCH LIKE IN BOTW!!!

    1. you’re probably blinded by nostalgia and a weeb on top of that as well. I liked this one so I gave previous ones a try and they were completely utterly trash. only a f4ggot can play those games.

      1. You’re so full of negativity and hate aren’t you? Not really surprised though, since you’re the ISLAMOPHOBE C UNT who said Turkey and Saudi Arabia should be bombed.

  4. Could never see what the big deal is about this game tbh, I’ve played it on and off with cemu and despite the lag the core game isn’t that great, there are just dozens of better games out there. Nintendo keeps going on japanese nationalism, nostalgia, parents who still think their games are appropriate for children and mindless fanatics. I mean the last wow game by them was the sm galaxy and arguably 3dworld mario games, odyssey is so derivative and gets so boring. At least with emulators if you are essentially playing the same games over and over you don’t have to deal directly with those japanese crypto juice at nintendo.

    1. first of all, I played this 1-2 years ago without any frame rate issues whatsoever. you need to read some guides on that.
second of all, I absolutely hated it back then but this is the type of game that you need to give it time, now it’s one of my favorite games of all time and this is coming from someone who hates Japan, Japanese games, Japanese cartoons, Japanese culture and etc

  5. Game def looks amazing. Never understood the love for it tho… just an open world full of training/puzzle rooms. I played 7 hours then quit…was bored out of my mind.

If you ever decide to give it a try and you’re someone like me who will never ever touch a controller, there’s a way to make this game to work almost perfect with mouse and keyboard.

      1. 3hour review LOL!! I did skim it and I am going to give the game another chance. Might be way better/fun on pc for sure!!

  6. I can’t tell if Nintendo games run well on PC because it doesn’t require high computing power or if it’s just a properly built game.
