And it appears that the leaks were legit. Blizzard has just announced the Rogue class for Diablo 4. In order to celebrate this announcement, the team released a new trailer, featuring both cinematic and gameplay sequences.
Diablo IV will be an always-online game, and will not offer an offline mode. We also don’t know whether Blizzard will allow modders to enable an unofficial offline mode or not.
Diablo 4 will also have cosmetic micro-transactions. Additionally, Blizzard is looking into enabling cross-play support between all platforms.
Diablo 4 will be using a new engine, will allow the camera to zoom out, will have better animations.
Lastly, and according to Activision, Diablo 4 will not release in 2021.

Blizzard is garbo
The most welcome change iv seen in one of these games in 21 years was POE’s player progression. The only real thing different from game to game is story and graphics.
Iv played those you mentioned except Grim Dawn. Had Diablo 2 back in the day and loved it, I played it to death. The genre doesn’t offer anything new anymore, im burned out on it which is why I stopped playing them after Diablo 3 and POE.

Back when original Diablo hit the shelves it was fun, dark, atmospheric and simple hack’n’slash RPG to play solo or even better with friends in coop. Diablo 2 built on that foundation but 3 was a huge departure not to mention always-online.
It was fun when I was a teenager but now when I think about tons of different colored loot dropping from hordes of enemies it just sounds boring.
D3 was also hugely shallowed down to better carter controller where the earlier were designed for M&K with blindable skills etc IE way to complex for gen-z gamers that only evolved to the state where they can handle 4 at a time it would seem =P
you just described every game in existance… maybe try playing one then commenting stupid things, those games are highly addictive due to loot nature and on higher difficulties require some character planning and strategy, skill synergy etc… Why ppl like you even visit gaming sites since you dont like games in first place?

it’s for 40€ hahahahaha, visual upgrade is avg, and game drops a lot of frames on trailer.
that’s exactly what the majority of us wanted because otherwise they would have ruined the atmosphere.
I don’t know about atmosphere. The game looks pretty damn bland right now. Hope they do a lot more to create a dense and dangerous atmosphere.

looks like nothing new and “female” face is just hideous. Love crpg’s but that monstrosity scared me away from D4 for good, i want to slay monsters not play as one.

Really excited for this game. Perhaps the most exciting upcoming RPG.
Blizzard can go F themselves with their always online bull crap. They pulled the same thing with Diablo 3 when it was still a PC Exclusive and gave some crap reasoning than it can never be offline and later when it was released for consoles, ho and behold it had an offline mode which was never brought to PC even after that, so yeah F them twice.
