The sequel of Titanfall became available on Steam back in June. Along with several other EA titles, such as Dead Space 3, Sims 4, Apex Legends, and more. And, a few days ago, Electronic Arts released the first Titanfall game on Steam.
Titanfall 2 sold very well and quickly became very popular. It even reached the top 100 most played games on Steam, with a peak of more than 9,000 concurrent players.
Now both games are available on Steam, and you get them both for a reduced price. Titanfall costs eight dollars, and Titanfall 2 costs ten dollars. However, you can get the Titanfall Collection for fourteen dollars, which contains both games.
Unfortunately, the Titanfall release comes with a few problems. Most importantly it comes with an audio issue that messes up the sound effects.
Fortunately thanks to a steam user there is a fix for the issue, and it’s a very easy fix. You will still get the error message, but the sound effects will work as intended.
You can get Titanfall on Steam here, and you can also find the audio fix here.
Thanks PCGamer.
Chris was born in the early 80’s along with the very birth of home gaming. After spending many maaany drachmas on arcades, his father decided to buy him a PC instead of going bankrupt. He lived through the advancing and development of the gaming industry, having played TONS of games on all platforms. He is always honest and will never hesitate to give his true opinion on a game no matter what. Loves stealth games and dislikes microtsansactions, DLC and pre-ordering…who doesn’t after all?!

does anyone even play the original?
Yeah, the “campaign” in TF1 was just a MP playlist that a radioplay happening in the background. It was a big joke.
Honestly I loved the MP of the original much more than the sequel. Hopefully this means more players so I can go back to it.
Agree to every letter!
If EA had half a brain Titanfall would be bigger than COD
Forreal. The gameplay is unique and the gunplay is so so buttery. Titanfall 2 was one of the best shooters I’ve played and the campaign was pretty solid.
EA likely deliberately sabotaged the release of TF2 so that they could purchase a desperate Respawn Entertainment, looking to keep their doors open. EA launched TF2 2 weeks after a hyped Battlefield release (BF1) and 2 weeks after CoD (Infinite Warfare, IIRC). There’s massive audience overlap between CoD, BF and TF, of course the fledging franchise is going to suffer.
Didn’t they already own Respawn before that? And isn’t the director of Respawn also part of the board of directors at EA or something?
They announced the purchase of Respawn a little over a year after Titanfall 2 came out.

EA have a history of attempting hostile takeovers of indie studios, but believe whatever you want to help you sleep at night.

They’d rather take a watery sh*t on history with Battlefield than make a competent game
Titanfall 2 had better progression and more stuff to unlock. But Titanfall 1 had the best balanced multiplayer. I really like how Titans felt, they felt earned and not so throwaway.
I preferred Titanfall over Titanfall 2.
This is one great game and got even better in its second appearance.
You know what? I’m gonna play TF2 again!
Prototype ?
