SHADOW MAN: REMASTERED – Original vs Remaster Comparison Screenshots

Nightdive Studios has released new comparative screenshots of the upcoming SHADOW MAN: REMASTERED; their remastered edition of the classic action-adventure video game SHADOW MAN. These screenshots compare the upgraded graphical fidelity of SHADOW MAN: REMASTERED with that of the original 1999 game.

Nightdive Studios’ remaster of the cult classic SHADOW MAN enhances the game’s playability while introducing numerous visual enhancements in the form of 4K resolution support, improved visual effects and assets, fully dynamic lighting, HDR rendering, and more.

The remaster also features controller support with dual analog stick control, as well as other gameplay adjustments and the inclusion of content cut from the original game – for a remaster that greatly enhances the gameplay of the original.

SHADOW MAN: REMASTERED will be using Nightdive Studios’ proprietary KEX engine, which has been used to restore classic video games across all digital platforms, including System Shock: Enhanced Edition, Turok, Turok 2: Seeds of Evil, Blood: Fresh Supply, and Strife: Veteran Edition.

Enjoy!

    1. “i still occasionaly play nes emulation”

Nes games is basically an aesthetic choice, graphically speaking. I would believe you if you still play Text adventures and play ASCII roguelikes on the regular.

    2. No matter how smart you are and what you think as important gaming elements which are not my main comment’s subject, the game looks like sh*t man.

  1. Yeah it’s an improvement. But making a new game would probably be a better use of money/resources. I don’t think anybody is really asking for this and the upgrades aren’t exactly screaming for a purchase. It’s not just about graphics either… The gameplay is sooo dated on this game.

    1. These products are clearly designed for a niche audience and should stay that way. The problem in a lot of old games is the lack of standard in control schemes, these 3d games would look brand new with modern control schemes, mouse camera, etc.

    1. The pics on the third roll are the ones that look almost the same, the rest you can see clearly the blurry textures on the original vs remastered, which is not great by any means, just a small improvement. There is a high texture mod out there, i wonder if they took something from those modders.

  2. This game needs a proper modern sequel, but then looking at how the industry is, I wouldn’t want that to happen bcoz what will come out will be an absolute abomination!
Still to this day, I listen to the main theme soundtrack of this game…MASTERPIECE!
