GOG is giving away for free the platformer title Butcher. The game will remain free of charge for a couple of days. Butcher has received very positive ratings on both GOG and Steam. You can grab the game from here.
Butcher is an action 2D shooter inspired by the early 90s, and from games such as Doom and Quake. This is a very hard, ultra-violent platformer that will test you limits.
You play as a cyborg with the sole purpose to eradicate the last remains of humanity. You are basically a terminator, and you must destroy everything and everyone in your path.
The game features permanent blood decals, that goes up to four million pixels per level. There is also an array of weapons for you to choose, such as chainsaw, railgun, and grenade launcher. Lastly, the game features more than twenty levels, that you can decorate with the guts of your enemies.
Chris was born in the early 80’s along with the very birth of home gaming. After spending many maaany drachmas on arcades, his father decided to buy him a PC instead of going bankrupt. He lived through the advancing and development of the gaming industry, having played TONS of games on all platforms. He is always honest and will never hesitate to give his true opinion on a game no matter what. Loves stealth games and dislikes microtsansactions, DLC and pre-ordering…who doesn’t after all?!

Ah yes that piece of crap that has worse graphics than the original command and conquer
why is it a piece of crap? I’m not into pixelated games or 2d games but seems interesting.
That’s a bit rude man, It’s a retro indie game, it’s also free and seems interesting, and i don’t know how it compares to C&C
why must it have worse graphics than a snes doom port?
It’s more stylish than ugly, a mix between 8 and 16 bits spritework, the lighting, particles and the work on the decals is way superior than any Vanilla Doom version, even though i think they’re not even comparable, i get that it can’t please everyone but it’s not a “piece of crap”

This game has cool cover art, but when you play it you can’t see a thing since everything is tiny and pixelated, making the game into a mess of grey and brown pixels. For free it might be worth a try though.
