Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition is officially coming to the PC in February 2021

KOEI Tecmo has just announced that Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition will be officially coming to the PC on February 5th, 2021. In order to celebrate this announcement, the publisher has also released a new trailer that you can find below.

The Complete Edition will pit players against the base Nioh 2 game and all three DLC expansions. These three DLC expansions are: “The Tengu’s Disciple”, “Darkness in the Capital”, and the recently announced “The First Samurai”.

The Steam release of Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition will offer players the best way to experience violent Sengoku-era Japan and the deadly Dark Realm on their PCs, as they unleash devastating attacks against plagues of merciless demons as a half-human, half-supernatural yokai warrior. The game will be playable with crystal clear 4K Ultra-HD support, alongside ultra wide-screen compatibility. The game will also support HDR and 144Hz monitors. Additionally, the game will support 120fps on the PC. Furthermore, KOEI Tecmo claims that the game will have full mouse and keyboard customisation support, as well as gamepad compatibility. Thus, let’s hope that Nioh 2 will not suffer from all the PC optimization issues that plagued KOEI Tecmo’s titles.

Producer Fumihiko Yasuda said:

“We are extremely thankful to all of our die-hard PC fans who have patiently waited to play Nioh 2. We are working hard here at Team NINJA to add the finishing touches to Nioh 2 – The Complete Edition, and are excited for you to experience this gripping masocore game with a wealth of graphical customization. Ready your blades, and unleash your darkness — the formidable foes await you on February 5, 2021.”

Enjoy!

  1. Well that’s a poor showing for a PC version if I’ve ever seen one. Looks like they just got an intern to sue PS$P footage, slapped the Steam logo on at the end and called it a day. Looks like the ultimate cash grab to me from KT (as expected).

  2. Who cares about the trailer looking cheap, trust me this game is a masterpiece in every aspect. You definitely don’t want to pass on this one.

      1. Just pick everything up without even looking at it during a mission, and then do a loot management session after the mission is over.
Pretend it’s the EDF system where you pick up a weapon but you don’t even know what it is until the post-mission screen.
That made the loot overload far more manageable for me in the first Nioh.

        1. “Just pick everything up without even looking at it during a mission, and

I did, it’s awful busywork that gets even worse thanks to a clunky console UI
          “Pretend it’s the EDF system”
EDF doesn’t have a crafting system and it’s 10 times better categorized than the sh**ty mess that’s present in Nioh.

  3. Even if it got 100 on Metacritic I won’t play it even for free because it’s yet another copy-and-paste-milked-oversaturated-trash Souls-like.

    1. I like Nioh combat, the thing i don’t like in Souls type games is the checkpoint system where the game punishes you by having you fight the same mobs everytime you die.

  4. Hell yeah I’ve been waiting for this.

Despite the relatively poor quality of the PC port I spent hundreds of hours in the first Nioh. Hopefully they make the port better this time, though I’m not holding my breath. At least the game itself is more good stuff judging by the gameplay I’ve seen.

  5. This happened last time with the first game. I was expecting this. If you want a really challenging game that requires some patience, give Nioh or Nioh 2 a try. This is the anti- gaymes journalists game. No offense to anyone at DSOGaming.

  6. I personally would never attempt to play this with a KBM. If you can beat it using that, then you are truly a good KBM user.

    1. People say the same thing for Sekiro but just check some gameplay of StealthGamerBR and you’ll know that each on it own

    2. I’m used to play Souls like games with KBM. Tried to play Demon’s Souls with PS3 controller and i sucked way more than usual. Nioh was mostly fine with KBM except for lack of buttom prompts and buttom mapping.

  7. Good news…im enjoying the first game. I don’t care about silky smooth fps or anything as long as the female character is appealing and not bulky muscle wahmen with funny haircut…

      1. It is a DRM, just a pretty basic one that can be easily cracked, only use for it is online play which can be a little more tricky to pirate.
