New Resident Evil Village in-engine trailer released

Capcom has released a new in-engine trailer for the next Resident Evil game, Resident Evil Village. Resident Evil Village will be using the RE Engine, and promises to elevate the survival horror experience to new heights.

Set a few years after Resident Evil 7, the all-new storyline begins with Ethan and his wife Mia living peacefully in a new location. Just as they are building their new life together, tragedy befalls them once again. Chris Redfield, the legendary hero from the Resident Evil series, is reacquainted with the couple and horribly disrupts their life, leaving Ethan devastated and thrown into an entirely new nightmare.

The first-person action in Resident Evil Village begins when players assume the role of a distraught and shattered Ethan. Ethan seeks to uncover the mysterious new horrors that plague a once peaceful village. Throughout this terrifying journey, players will fight for every breath as they face vicious new enemies.

Lastly, Resident Evil Village releases in 2021, and promises to be the longest RE Engine game to date.

Enjoy!

  1. i was looking forward to this but i can tell it will be 50% re7 and 50%linear onrail memegame like a amnesia or outlast…sad i thought this was gonna be more of a game than re7 but its gonna be less. linear flashbacks as “le oppressed little girl” and meme
hallucination segments…screenshot and prove me wrong…. but you can tell hw its gonna be…its a ps5 cinematic experience ported to pc and next?box

  2. I loved Resident Evil 7. I rarely ever replay games but I beat it 3 times including a playthrough on mushrooms in VR. Such an amazing game. The characters and house was top notch. So far RE8 is my only anticipated game for 2021. Looks so damn good!!

  3. I’m all about that atmosphere, I don’t care if it’s linear, the overall experience is what matters… and it looks incredible for a VR title. I wish they had used RE engine’s power to its fullest though, that is ditching VR for the sake of next-gen visuals but its strong art direction has somehow managed to compensate for its lack of next-gen graphics

  4. Another one that has nothing to do with RE. It was all about bio weapons before, now is all about demons? FML
Let’s see if I can get to the end of the game when it comes out.

    1. Clearly not about demons. You can tell from this trailer that the little girl who goes into the forest discovers some sort of plaga / mold thing. Unless you know nothing about RE lore.
