Square Enix has just announced the next part in the Final Fantasy series, Final Fantasy XVI. Furthermore, the publisher has released a PC trailer for this game, which basically confirms that this new FF will be coming out on our platform.
To be honest, Final Fantasy XVI feels more like a mix between Final Fantasy and Kingdom Come: Deliverance. The game appears to have a medieval setting, which makes it feel a bit… weird?
There is currently no ETA on when Final Fantasy XVI will come out. However, we expect Square Enix to issue a press release for this new FF game soon. Thus, we’ll be sure to update this story once we get more details about it.

God help this franchise in the hands of this garbage, worthless company. I have about 0.1% of the enthusiasm for this thing, that I had for Final Fantasy X even. Final Fantasy, is pretty much gutter trash anymore.

Why do people pretend to care about Final Fantasy lame a$$ baby’s first turn based combat is beyond me. More DmC combat and less classic FF based combat plz, it is the lame “homage” to the old games that make the action based combat poor and easy.

appparently dmc5 combat director is working on it, that explains the combat.
I liked the action combat in FF15, but what brings the combat down in the newer FF games is that they want to compromise with the turn based games of old, so they make the combat pi$$ easy as a result with non stop use of potions, phoenix down etc.

the moment i heard she was dominant the moment the game died for me.
It looks pretty damn dated. I guess this is what happens when you continue to cling onto on engine you created, while refusing to update it significantly.
