Here are some new screenshots for Dirt 5

A couple of weeks ago, Codemasters revealed the release date for Dirt 5. And today, the team has released a new set of screenshots for this upcoming racer.

In Dirt 5, players will travel the globe and tame the most incredible off-road machines with their friends. Players will also be part of a vibe that delivers big on epic action, pure expression, and unbridled style.

The game aims to deliver constant extreme action, continent to continent, in all manner of amplified events. Moreover, it will have a Career Mode have five chapters, over 130 events across nine race types and Throwdown challenges.

DIRT 5’s Career mode focuses on the highly successful ‘DIRT Series’: a global racing event across various disciplines, featuring the world’s greatest off-road racers. Players will complete races to open new events in the chapter; the higher you place, the more Stamps you will earn. Players will also need a certain amount of Stamps to unlock the Main Event of each chapter. Thus, the better you perform, the quicker you can progress. Main Events are the conclusion of each chapter and a tougher test for the player. Additionally, players can complete certain objectives throughout Career events to unlock secret Throwdowns. In Throwdowns, you go one-on-one with a fierce challenger in epic events.

Dirt 5 will be a cross-gen title, meaning that it will release on both current and next generation platforms. Since this is a cross-gen game, you should not expect major visual differences between the current-gen and the next-gen versions. Also, Codemasters has not revealed whether the PC version will look as good as its next-gen version.

The game will release on October 9th.

Enjoy!

  1. It’d be really cool to one day see a game like this, with all of its different modes that WAS NOT a total arcade mess like Forza Horizon or previous Dirts.

  2. Yesterday I installed the Dirt 2 which I think is the best Dirt, including it has 3D sound acceleration by hardware on Windows 7 64bit, making the sound of the audience very good, of the stones hitting the car body and etc. The graphics are good and the tesselation of the water is great, when the car passes it makes the undulations, things that you don’t have in the other Dirts ……

      1. yes i remember that at the time. Too bad that OpenAL was forgotten and left out, with the end of hardware audio acceleration, OpenAL could survive, because I still use 3d audio accelerator card. even more with 3D hardware sound acceleration on PS5 and Xbox Ones Series X

  3. When everyone else jumped on the raytracing bandwagon Codemasters finally discovered poorly made screen space reflections 😀 They are always 2 generations behind, pathetic.

  4. Cant wait. Loved Dirt 4. One of my favourite racing game, I dont do much racing these days tho. But when a new Dirt will come out, damn that makes me happy 😀

Btw, these pics looks absolutely awesome. Dirt 4 looked fantastic, so better then that, and im even happier!
