Electronic Arts has shared a new video in which it teases the next-gen games from DICE, Bioware, Criterion and EA Motive. This video will give you a glimpse at what these teams aim to accomplish on next-generation platforms.
From what we can see, DICE is working on the next-gen Battlefield game. On the other hand, Criterion Games is working on a next-gen Need for Speed game.
However, it’s a bit of mystery what Bioware’s game actually is. We know that the team is working on both Anthem 2.0 and the next Dragon Age game. If I had to guess, I’d say that we’re looking at Dragon Age.
Unfortunately, these EA next-gen games are still in a very early stage. As such, they will not really impress you. Criterion’s Need for Speed appears to have some amazing vehicles, and the Battlefield character looks absolutely stunning. But yeah, other than that, there is nothing noteworthy here.
EA also claims that its next-gen games will load a lot faster on next-gen hardware. Thus, it will be interesting to see whether their PC versions will finally take advantage of SSDs, and how they will work on HDDs.

Criterion games feel awful, they have awful driving mechanics, bioware is utter trash now and dont get excited for graphics, sure dice might be top notch in graphics and sound but look at the teasers from last gen and what we actually end up getting, the only ones who could do it was the initial sony exclusives and dice. The rest were fake tech demos. Dont get excited, especially for ea.

BioWare really hasn’t existed for many years now. It’s just a name that EA throws out to sell games. The co-founders left 8 years ago and most of the staff and writers left as well over the years.

it’s the directions they have. 1 priority – Diverse cast (how to have all colored and sexes to included). 2. priority loads of content (which turns out empty busy work because first priority took too much time). 3. Gameplay (So the real programmers work here on their on), 4. Maybe we should add some kind of story to this game ? so Minimal effort here we have all this diverse cast so no one notices. So finally Andrew Wilson will walk in room and sees all these priority’s and says: All good but number 1 should be how to make Fifa money out of this and leaves.
The big problem is their political commissar, Laura Miele. She has some kind of politburo that watches over every EA studio to see if they’re respecting her diversity checklist.
that’s the case with every company. the person in charge of their social responsibility should be fired.

I remember seeing the exact same sort of thing teasing ME: Andromeda and it turned out to be utter garbage. I don’t trust a single thing from Bioware until they release this and we can see for ourselves.
How much next gen bs spills every day. I’ll just tell you one thing; these unrealistic visuals have been promised for 5 years straight and look how “real” EA games look. NFS Heat visuals look like a dehydrated horse. This is nothing but a garbage clickbait from both Johnny boy and EA and to EA this means nothing because they will keep pumping the crappy sims expansions and FIFA games until 2027.
One thing you should realise from watching today’s EA play – they don’t give a fk about graphics, they want backwards compatibility and crossplay, meaning the garbage tier xboxes and switches will make sure PC players don’t get enhanced graphics because it’s not worth wasting dev time on.
I really miss Mirror’s Edge, the first one was abso..lutely amazing! it was such a great game, back then EA would create and use songs for their games’ closing credits. Mass Effect 1 , Mirror’s Edge, they all had emotionally charged endings thanks to the use of songs for those final scenes.

Money. Of course games needed to make money. But money has become the number 1 driving factor. They dont say hey here is a cool game idea, it will make money. They have bean counters they say we think THIS will make the most money, turn this idea into a game.
