      1. Not gonna happen. Is as if the RE franchise just because 2 seperate games. from 7 on out all of them will be a FPP on rails basically and people will rejoice cause it’s in FPP. Even though it’s on God damn rails and scripted AS FUQ!!!!

    1. I hope they will remaster RE4 as classic TPP game. I don’t like FPP games like RE7. I want more games like RE2 and RE3

      1. Agreed, at least 7 tried to rework the formula but it was more like a VR pushing thing than anything else.
It looks like this is their last take on a FPS RE it seems.

  1. It literally continues the story, so I’m not sure how you think even the previous one had nothing to do with the series.

  2. I thought this was the weakest trailer at the show. But hey, tastes differ. Glad you’re into it!

    1. holy crap dude, your taste is god awful it was the best looking thing in the show. The rest was trash mostly indie trash.

      1. Dude, go away. I really don’t care if you agree with my taste or not. I have fun. I’ll enjoy whatever I want.

    2. You almost had a respectable comment there, but it all fell apart at the end. You just couldn’t resist throwing an insult out there huh?

  3. yeah but its a fps game with werewolves that takes place in a village and thats more interesting than any other game shown so we got that going.

  4. Don’t we mean… Resident Evil Revelations 3 repurposed as Resident Evil 8 “ahem….. Resident Evil VIIIage”? Ya, that’s what we thought.

“Moreover, there will be a new stalker enemy type.” Oh boy, a new stalker. Like we weren’t beaten over the head with stalkers in RE2 and 3 lately or something. The creativity is off the charts on this one.

  5. I am just glad it’s not a remake or a sequal to another. I like fresh stories with new characters from time to time in the series.

  6. Medieval setting ? sees a Handgun in a trailer. Wait can somebody explain me didn’t resident evil used to be Zombie game. I think last game i played was 6. So something has happened ? Werewolves?, Witches? is it some kind of reboot to Monster series. Why the eight though ?

    1. It was always about biological weapons, zombies being one of them…this series has seen some sh*t.

  7. enjoy these games folks, you won’t see anything like them for the rest of the generation.
they always make the most impressive games they can to trick peasants into buying consoles. the rest of this gen is going to be repetitive and generic trash over and over.

  8. This should be Revelations 3. Seems like they confuse how to continue the lame azz Ethan story for the sequel,so they decided to grab anything that available lol…

  9. Garbage trash. Entire trailer struggles to meet 30 fps on RE engine, which has run perfectly fine for the last 3 games.

Silent Hill 2 – era bad voice acting for most of the trailer and the entire game just sounds incredibly terrible, like worse than RE6. Even for an RE game which has been increasingly synonymous with wacky nonsense starting with Code Veronica’s cross-dressing ridiculous Alfred and Neo/Wesker, this one takes the cake with random busty nobles and yet again using Chris and Umbrella 10 years in-lore after Umbrella is gone.

I have no doubt this game will be awful, and if RE4 remake is a thing, at least the adults among us can put the last nail in this series coffin.

    1. It’s pretty obvious that this was a video editing or recording issue. The graphics look like an incremental upgrade over the past 2 games on the same engine, so there’s no reason to think it’ll run poorly.
