2K Games officially announces Mafia: Trilogy, will be coming on both Steam & Epic Games Store

After all those hints and leaked ratings, 2K Games has officially announced Mafia: Trilogy. Although the publisher has not revealed any additional details, it did share a trailer for it that you can find below.

My guess is that this trilogy will feature better graphics than the original games, at least for the first two parts. The trailer showcases some scenes from all three Mafia games.

The scene from the first Mafia is a bit stylized so I’m not sure whether these are the in-game graphics. On the other hand, we can definitely notice some graphics improvements in Mafia 2.

2K Games will reveal more details about Mafia: Trilogy on May 19th.

So yeah, enjoy the trailer and stay tuned for more!

  1. But will this trilogy fix the issues still persistent in the Mafia 3?

Will this pack release Mafia 2 as it was first intended to release with out cutting the main game into pieces to make DLCs? They cut the contents so badly that no one even knows who Jimmy was from the Jimmy’s Vendetta DLC.

If no then this is just a management decision to capitalize on the sentiment behind Mafia 1.

        1. Lol there is nothing ray traced here, is this your first time seeing reflections in a game?

          SSR and cubemaps/planar reflections.

    1. GoG store existed before fuqing EPIC store and all the games are on GOG, but nothing about GOG. If i lived closed to epic HQ i would burn it the fuq down. I’ve had it up to here with these fuqrs.

      1. All the games are on GOG? They don’t allow DRM, which most developers and publishers refuse to remove.

      1. He needed a firmware update – but one of those like Flash, where they keep updating but nothing ever gets better

    1. I hope so…Those we some s*xy vintage beauties!
But then who cares, the original PC version with mods looks better judgin from teh screenshots.

  2. Couldn’t even finish Mafia 2 from how terrible it is, it constantly tells you to drive from the start of the map till the furthest of the map all the time so you feel it’s a driving simulator.

Instead of this trash why not make The Darkness 3 or port The Darkness 1 to PC?

    1. Thats exactly what mafia 3 is. Are you sure you’re not mistaken mafia 3 with 2?

      1. Yep, pretty sure it’s Mafia 2. I didn’t even touch Mafia 3 because people say Mafia 3 is even worse than Mafia 2.

        1. Cant imagine what your response when you have a chance to play mafia 3. A game which i call ultimate errand boy driving simulator…

    2. You are a cancer, you have no respect whatsoever. I didn’t even say this is a shiit game and you’re already acting like a child. What else is expected from someone who likes that cancerous website called One Angry Gamer?

      1. It’s not because it bashes SJWs (I hate SJWs AND anti-SJWs) but because it mostly publishes hate-fuelled articles that only toxic people find attractive. Reading comments there gives you cancer unless you as toxic as them.

        1. I think you are too sensitive and not aware that they are plenty of options out there for sensitive people like you…try Polygon.

        2. So what? That’s the truth, you have games where SJWs try to shove their agenda on your face like The Last of Us but just try to search “[game name] SJW” on ANY game and you’d get people complaining about SJW on a gaming forum.

        1. For a definitive edition of Mafia II they’d need to get Daniel Vavra back and move stuff around in the story that got cut into crappy DLCs.

    3. I think the appeal for these games is the story and immersion that the world provides, there’s a nice attention to detail. Making these games open world doesnt add too much, they may as well be linear. Everything in it is kinda like a play, wall dressing.
So, with that in mind, you just drive towards a cutscene, maybe a combat scenario and to the next cutscene with some driving and so on.
That’s the gameplay loop, but the story and characters are nice, so you keep going, you just need to set your mind to it.
There’s value imho in a slow pace and more grounded GTA (i think a LA Noire is a way proper comparison)..

      1. True, except there were things to do in the open world of Mafia 2 unlike L.A. Noire which was literal window dressing.

        1. Yeah but those things aren’t that much, may as well not be there.
At least for Mafia 1 and 2, 3 i would barely considered a Mafia game..it sucks because there’s a lot of wasted potential in that game.

  3. Well ain’t this a surprise. Two stores at the same time =O

It really isn’t that hard to make that the default, publishers/devs.

  4. I recently installed Mafia 2 old time mod and it doesn’t much improve graphics, only makes night time worse. Mafia 2 doesn’t need any remakes.
