After almost three years, Ebb Software releases new stunning in-engine trailer for SCORN

Our last look on SCORN was back in August 2017. SCORN is a first-person horror game that uses Unreal Engine 4 and looked quite interesting. However, and after delaying the game, Ebb Software went radio silent. Thankfully, though, this game is still in development. During the Inside Xbox event, Ebb Software released a brand new in-engine trailer for it.

Scorn was originally designed around the idea of “being thrown into the world”. Isolated and lost inside a dream-like world, players will explore different interconnected regions in a non-linear fashion.

In Scorn, every location will contain its own theme (story), puzzles and characters that are integral in creating a cohesive world. Throughout the game players will open up new areas. Players will also acquire different skill sets, weapons, various items and try to comprehend the sights presented to them.

As you can immediately notice, SCORN has an amazing art style. It will also remind you Agony and Inner Chains. Now let’s hope that SCORN will not disappoint us as both Agony and Inner Chains did.

Enjoy and stay tuned for more!

    1. i mean it looks prettier than your average “female” character nowadays, definitely prettier than the last of us 2 characters, i tell you that much.

  1. Surprised there is little-to-no games with Giger (or Alien if you’re philistine) environments.
The only games that I played featuring Giger environments EarthBound and Metal Slug 3, and even those games didn’t heavily feature it. There should be MORE games featuring this wonderful art.

    1. Contra series at some points, ME2 in the collector’s base, but the most obvious one is a 90s adventure game called Darkseed

    1. Its supposed to be a FPS…tho a slow one. Gameplay footage was revealed some time back(~2 years or so)

  2. YES YES YES, less fleshy and bloody and more aliens architecture, like the original trailer that still gives me goosbumps.

  3. Trailer my a*s… they recoreded camera spining inside UE4 editor, mixed with glue and tape.
This game is far from release man.

  4. An in-game footage trailer shown at an Inside Xbox event featuring Xbox Series X console branding…

…that they admitted was running on a PC!

    1. It’s all ALWAYS running on PC’s even the exclusive stuff. Sad how many people doesn’t know this. If you go to any convention where they say it’s a PS5 or Xbox X, it is a PC under that table. Seen it myself, use to work marketing for Microsoft back in the day and they all do it. The PS4 was running a PC using a 670 back in the day. With that said, i don’t give a ratz a$$ about TRAILERS.

      1. My favourite such tale from E3 was that of Atari at the first event back in 1995. They had the much delayed (and ultimately never released) Jaguar VR unit for attendees to try out. It later transpired that the hardware was from one of those huge Virtuality pods that were commonplace in amusement arcades during that era.

        1. Yeah man, why you think it was so hurtful when this gen games first start releasing and PC version like watch dogs were getting tanked. It was all done on purpose. And be prepared for another tanking comes december. One of my Nvme’s cost more than a console but for some reason they;ll find some way to tank us. It’s very disgraceful and hese fanboys have no clue what they are defending.

We got tanked in the beginning of this generation cause they purposely dumped all the load on GPU, all because console had gpu, cpu and ram all in one pool. But we all know PC’s have all that seperated. So we were getting games that were just either CPU heavy or GP heavy. Dead Rising 3 and Watch Dogs were proof of that schitt. Now i wonder how they will tank us this December. Yep a GTX 670…

          1. Another reason not to upgrade my 1080ti for awhile … I guess??? I wonder how long they’re gonna be able to keep this console cycle BS up. At least they’re getting closer to PC architecture than the PS3 was.

Might be some dirty tricks around the corner to keep console’s a thing in a world where they make less sense every year.

          2. Sounds good to me. I might upgrade my CPU before then if I have the cash. My i7 4790k seems to be struggling a little with some more recent games. Probably just bad optimization though.

  5. The HR Giger aesthetic has never been done so well. This one has been on my list for ages, nice to see it looking so damn good.

  6. The only decent thing they showed in the Xbox event…hopefully is not just like Agony were they bank of the visuals and nothing else. I remember it being a FPS, so fingers cross is not turned into a walking simulator.

      1. So? it has guns…the trailer even shows a weapon. FPS means first person SHOOTER you know? if is a survival horror even better…makes sense with that atmosphere.

        1. Well, if the ammo is scarce and there’s not much shooting then I don’t consider it a shooter, just like Dying Light and Prey 2017.

    1. Unfortunately no they haven’t done a recent demo, We only have access to the alpha tech demo from 2017. As far as their development update blogs its still the same FPS horror game, with some exploration, survival and puzzle solving mechanics.
