Gears Tactics is a turn-based strategy game developed by The Coalition, and published by Xbox Game Studios. The game is planned to be released this April. This is not your typical Gears of War title. Gears Tactics plays like XCOM, but it is less complicated.
First of all, the game offers three action points. XCOM and other similar games usually offer two action points. Gears Tactics throws many enemies at the player, so the extra action point was needed in order balance the combat.
The game will also feature executions. For people not familiar with previous Gears of War titles, executions are brutal finishers performed with a variety of weapons. The most infamous execution must be the one with the Chainsaw Bayonet of the Mark 2 Lancer Assault Rifle. There are many more, and the game seems to have quite few of them.
Here are the game’s key features:
- Immersive and character-driven story: Play as the defiant soldier Gabe Diaz, rescuing and building your troops in a journey of leadership, survival and sacrifice.
- Customizable squad and equipment: Prepare your troops to face tough enemies, upgrading their skills and outfitting them with loot collected in challenging missions.
- Aggressive gameplay: Command your squad in fast paced, turn-based battles, advancing and surviving intense and visceral encounters with the unstoppable, swarming enemy.
- Massive boss battles: Defeat towering deadly bosses that defy your strategies and completely change the scale of the battle.

never in million years thought that i would be interested in this game
wait a minute, why dont the Gears regenerate health while behind cover?
i’m actually more interested in this than the next diablo game.
Who the FUQ asked for this? I tell you these developers man. They are so busy NOT giving you what you want instead of making what you want. Only in the gaming industry people support such work ethic. If I had an ice cream shop and I was known for the best Rum & Raisin ice cream. Then people showed up and I gave them chocolate mint instead, EVERYTIME. Do you think I’d still be in business? Noooooooooo ?????
