  1. Walking sim with jump scares… no one wants this shallow entertainment.
I had hope that after Blair Witch we are done with crap like this.

    1. Blair Witch is one thing, Amnesia (The Dark Descent), is a whole other thing. Don’t confuse the two.

    2. today i had to like a comment posted by someone with an anime avatar. the state of this industry, smh.

    3. Well, Frictional are the ones who started this trend, maybe they can change the formula to refresh it.

    4. Have you even played the original one? Next thing you’re gonna say is that OUTLAST is a walking simulator so it is also bad.

  2. Eh…back to Amnesia? after A Machine for Pigs? no thanks, i was expecting something new from them.

      1. I disagree, the original was a superior game overall. And SOMA was a step in the right direction after A Machine imo.

        1. Gameplay was trash in Amnesia 2 but music, story and locations where far better than Amnesia 1. SOMA was also trash in terms of gameplay but the rest of it was decent. They need to go back to penumbra gameplay or make something new.

      2. I disagree, the original was a superior game overall. And SOMA was a step in the right direction after A Machine imo.

  3. Amnesia was the game that mainstreamed taking guns away from horror games, and we are all the worse for it.

  4. I hope Frictional go back to their roots and make a horror game with physics-based puzzles and environmental interactivity. I loved SOMA’s story and setting, but gameplay-wise it was lacking. The first room in Penumbra Overture had more interactivity than their entire latest game. It felt like the developers forgot everything they’ve done before.
