Doom 64 and Quake 64 receive amazing AI-enhanced HD Texture Packs

Doom Eternal releases next month and Bethesda plans to release Doom 64 alongside it. However, it appears that the best – visually – way to replay this game will be via emulation. Gaming Revived has released an amazing AI-enhanced HD Texture Pack for it that overhauls all of its textures.

Doom 64 featured new sprites for all of its enemies. However, and since it came out on Nintendo 64, those textures were really low-res. Thanks to these AI techniques, though, PC gamers can now enjoy the N64 with higher resolution textures.

This is a truly amazing HD Texture Pack and we strongly suggest downloading. Alongside it, Gaming Revived has also released a HD Texture Pack for Quake 64. Similarly to Doom 64, this pack overhauls the game’s textures. Furthermore, it manages to retain its original visual style.

You can download both the AI-enhanced packs for Doom 64 and Quake 64 from here.

Lastly, you can find below two videos showcasing these packs in action.

Have fun!

  1. So there is a Quake 64 ?! F*ck never knew that, is it some special version like Doom 64 or just a standard or slightly different port ?
EDIT : Nevermind, it’s half assed, missing levels, potato graphics, no NIN Soundtrack

    1. potato…its only 2 games won’t emulate correctly on current hardware due to texture resoultion…reason why doom64 looks same as native with emulator is the game is not fully 3d rendering …sky box is only 3d rendering but rest the game is sprite with enhance doom engine port..similar to gzdoom, quake is different animal and different engine base on quake 1 ehance port that pc version is incomplete with missing features that 2 programmers did not had time to complete it..like colored lighting, fog effects, lensflare, higher sky rendering resoultion than what pc use is a sh*t box sky textures that has no life in them..due to missing bloom effect that was only available in quake 3 engine while quake 2 engine is rehaul of quake 1 engine for making better model animation than last version is all about in quake 2 with colored lighting and bigger maps than quake 1 bsp tools allow with…all this great feet on midway part to produce 2 games using same engine ..quake 1 and quake 2…so what i am talking about is only engine what supposed to be is darkplaces on pc …higher resoultions and better looking sky rendering but i was not happy about it that quake 64 and quake 2 64 using a trick that many pc modders still can’t get it right as native it look on higher resoultion…its how it animated in right pattern where black clouds passes over upper layer with bloom lighting effect in the skybox…my skies has better detail but not exactly follow the same pattern when render the way how quake 2 64 did…in correct pattern ..darkplace have bloom and speed settings between both layers ..but not sure they use 3 layers or 2 layers …quake 3 use up to 6 layers to rendering a sky box…while darkplaces has this black layer when no sky textures is loaded..hmmm mystery that it may had embedded 3rd layer for other layers for alpha and solid the black layer that help the alpha layer that has cut out transparent effect for clouds passes over with while solid have this bright color cloud effect that where bloom effects lit on over all 3 layers to make this eerie effect …trust me, this is way better than doom64 sky rendering that it only move in one same direction and speed…its only one layer…and quake 64 has 3 layers …you see where i getting at??

  2. Quake video looked ok. For Doom i was wondering though if there were any differences between the enhanced version and the original. Being so damn dark helped a lot..
