Fifth developer diary video released for the Morrowind Remake mod for Skyrim, Skywind

The team behind the ambitious Morrowind Remake mod for Skyrim, Skywind, has released its fifth developer video. According to the team, the project has made immense progress since the last video. Therefore, this video will give you a better idea of where the project stands now.

Skywind is a non-commercial modification for The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim that seeks to merge the world of The Elder Scrolls III: Morrowind with the enhanced graphics and capabilities of Skyrim’s engine. The user interface, combat, graphics, and system requirements for the Skywind mod are all those of Skyrim.

It’s also worth mentioning that players will need to own both games in order to play Skywind. If you own only one of them, you won’t be able to run it.

There is currently no ETA on when this total conversion mod will come out. However, we’ll be sure to keep you posted.

Enjoy the video and stay tuned for more!

  1. I hope this comes out soon. been waiting too long. and from the looks of things, I dont think we are ever getting the same Bethesda games anymore, so these mods are our last hope

    Fallout 4: New Vegas
    Skywind

only good things to look forward to relating to bethesda games

        1. His point is that these overly ambitious mods already have years of development and they’re nowhere near completion.

          1. If you have been following this mod, its been showing alot of progress, they are very transparent with their work.

no offense but I have more faith in these moders than I do Star Citizen.

people thought we would never see Fallout Project Brazil happen, and yet here we are , now known as Fallout New California.,

Even on Skyrim, we got the amazing Enderal. Dont underestimate Bethesda game Moders, they already have history of released projects.

but if youre not in the scene, then i guess i can see why you would think otherwise.

          2. Ok, I’ll clarify the assumptions you just made.

I never said there was lack of progress in the project.

            Why would I take offense?

            I never underestimated the modders.

I don’t know exactly what you mean by being ‘in the scene’, Skywind’s been in development for 8 years now.

  2. These guys are fkin amazing. I can’t wait for the finished product, but I hate the fact that it needs Skyrim as a base. I’m so sick of that engine and its issues and need to tweak it for hours before it’s ready to be played.
