Cyberpunk 2077 is one of the most anticipated titles of 2020. We already know that the map will be smaller compared to Witcher 3. But unlike the Witcher 3, Cyberpunk 2077 will feature tall buildings, which the player can explore. And now we have the first look of the map.
The World of Cyberpunk 2077 Deluxe Edition is a lore based book that will be available after the release of the game. The book will contain various things, such as a Night City map cover, a slipcase featuring Night City graffiti, a Johnny Silverhand Poster, four vehicle postcard and some temporary tattoos taken from the Night City gangs.
Below you can see a part of the game’s map. This is probably not the full map. Nonetheless, you can get a general idea of the Night City and the surrounding areas.
Thanks PushSquare.

In comes the haters saying the map isn’t even that big… I’d rather have a lake that’s 10 feet deep than a ocean that’s only 2 feet. Quality/substance over quantity.
It doesnt help a map being that small when you can drive around too…i would understand it for a Deus Ex game..but since this is trying to appeal to GTA people…looks tiny.
This is so not trying to appeal to GTA people at all.
It’s an imersive sim similar to that of deus ex. This isn’t gta with rpg elements.
Very true, the GTA crowd is not the target audience. I’m sure they’d like GTA fans to buy it, simply because they want as many sales as possible, but the game isn’t aimed at them specifically.
Of course, they would like the GTA fans to buy it. And I am sure some will. I am sure a bunch of them will. But to compare these games because they share some commonalities such as open world and driving around in a city doing missions is so stupid.
Cyberpunk is primarily marketed as an RPG, not a third-person open-world game, or however, you classify GTA because it ticks a bunch of boxes. BUT the one box it doesn’t tick is the MAIN selling point of Cyberpunk.
Exactly 🙂 You do know that, in my original comment, I was agreeing with you, right?
Just checking.
Yeah I do. 😀 This site though is filled with people who have an agenda against this game. “ahh it won’t be as good” ” ah they simplified it…” BRUH! Shut the f*k up! How many genuenly good games do we get? Just enjoy it!
Yeah, I’ve noticed that here and elsewhere.
Not sure where it’s coming from given CDPR’s consumer friendly approach up to this point, along with the fact that Witcher 3, iirc, holds the record for most GotY wins ever.
You’d think that would have earned them some benefit of the doubt.
Then you better have a talk with their marketing and art direction team since it seems like they are doing everything in their power to make everyone compare this game to GTA V.
And gameplay-wise the only thing that the games have in common is the fact that you can drive cars and you are in fact a human.
The mission structure is entirely different and there are no serious RPG elements in GTA so basically it an entirely different game past the initial impressions.
Just to add, car physics will be better than GTA they say.
I hope it will have a wheel support.
Hatters gonna hate
This remember a bit the first Mafia?
why is it that every single thing that comes out for this game looks more disappointing…and yellow…than the last one?
I feel like all the maps in GTA, Watch Dogs, Cyberpunk and whatever look the same.
I feel like all maps of cities and streets and roads look the same…
But they dont….and adding streets and roads into the argument is ridiculous.
sigh….. I was mocking the person I was replying to. Maps of a city all contain parallel and perpendicular lines of streets and roads, so naturally, they all look similar. It doesn’t mean the cities actually look the same as the original person said.
Well it says you replied to me. I dunno, whatever.
Not sure what you are on about as the city’s in Watchdogs were vastly different to each other alone.
Its almost like most cities are designed to function in the same way, therefore, they often look alike.
Shocking, I know.
yup its like its copy pasted all over….because it does.
don’t forget every single building and sky scraper you can go inside and explore. I’d rather have a highly detailed city then some enormous assassins creed odyssey map
Completely agree, I’m so tired of these huge empty maps, with copy and paste structures.
Ubisoft just announced too the next game will have a map even bigger then odyssey. Already turned off completely considering odyssey was gross as it was. It’s just a big d*ck measuring contest. These announcements were cool 20 years ago. But now… it’s quite a turn off
Wide as an ocean, deep as a puddle.
The best Open World games are the ones that are small-mid sized and that lots of density in both visuals and tasks.
Agree. I can’t vividly remember which games today offer us organic environment with those ”little stories” behind them. It just plain space with little to no interactivity.
Where did you get THAT? I seriously doubt that. Most of the buildings will surely be either unexplorable backdrop (like in GTA-5) or they will be explorable but will be an inch deep like those copy-pasted huts in The Witcher 3.
Bottom line don’t get your hopes up.
I do not know about Cyberpunk but you are mistaken regarding The Witcher 3. Almost every place was different indoors. Definitely not completely different but still enough to make a difference.
Dude, you can’t tell them from one another. They blur into one picture, you’ve been to one hut or a house – you can count you’ve been to them all in the Witcher 3. It’s just backdrop and unnecessary work by devs – what’s the point of having all those enterable lodgings with 99% same interiors and props when all its inhabitants are one-line paper-thin NPCs and nothing really interesting awaits you behind those doors.
Are you sure you played the game buddy? Because I don’t think you played the game.
Instead of counter-arguments to the point I’ve made you allude to the notion that I haven’t played the game. You’ll go far.
If you had played the game we wouldn’t be having this conversation. I challenge you to find two indoor places that look absolutely the same.
Haha. It’s not even a conversation. You’re just grasping at straws at this point. Go into any of the villagers huts, the quantity of windows might differ and that’s about it. But are you really proposing that all buildings in Witcher 3 are unique? Besides in my original post I mentioned huts and then you came in to defend CDPRs honor. Really CDPR fanboys are all the same – abandoning logic and common sense in favor of blind fanatism.
Anyway I wouldn’t expect high standards from anyone giving Call Of Duty Modern Warfare and Control.
That’s not the point IrregularJohn is making. You may not be able to find two houses that are the same to a “T” just that it was pointless as not every house had a unique identity. I personally don’t think the game needs this, but having homes have character to them would go a long way to making the game world feel more lived in (and would also be work that I don’t think any developer has every actually done).
i really hope they can nail the gta/nfs vehicle hanging
that would be the missing puzzle piece!
AC Odyssey has a great map to explore. Not big enough for me.
Also AC Odyssey > Cyberpunk 2077.
map looks fine, still not sold on night city as a name
I’m just here to eat popcorn and amuse myself at the die hard fanboys vs “da haterz”.
It’ll be interesting to see just how big and in depth the city is, with the possibility of it not being all it’s cracked up to be.
I like how everything we have seem about this game since launch comes bundled with CDPR fanboy excuses.
-No third person camera (“ITS FUR THE IMMURSION!!!!11”)
-No more than 3 classes (“MUH QUALITY OVER QUANTITY!1!!”)
-No gender selection, only body selection (“IT WUS TAKEN OUT UF CONTXT!!1”)
-Microtransactions in multiplayer (“THEY TOTALLY DINDU SAY TAT, JUST MUNITIZATUN!!”)
-Tiny a*s map (“MUH 10 FEET DIIP OUCIAN ANALOGY!1!!)
But who cares, right? Just shoehorn Keanu Reeves into your game and everyone will turn a blind eye over every red flag your game is showing every time its on the news!
still asking why it looks like gta v and not like cyberpunk
can devs just shut up about their games and just make them. sick of hearing about cyberpunk at this point. Just make the damn game. They announced this game way too early. My hype is dead and at this point I just don’t care anymore. Wake me up when it comes out. Same with Diablo 4… too far to care.
Honestly, what’s the point of being surprised when playing a game or discovering new things in world when you can read about it in interviews and having everything spoiled by ytb? That’s why I avoid reading full articles or searching for game info until I’m ready to buy it…
