New trailer released for Obsidian’s upcoming RPG, The Outer Worlds

Private Division has released a brand new trailer for Obsidian’s upcoming RPG, The Outer Worlds. This new trailer focuses on the Halcyon colony and its environments. Naturally, it also sports in-game graphics so it will give you a glimpse at the game’s visuals.

According to the developers, the character you become will determine how your story on the Halcyon colony unfolds in The Outer Worlds.

The Outer Worlds is a player-driven story RPG. In keeping with the Obsidian tradition, how you approach The Outer Worlds is up to you. Your choices will affect not only the way the story develops, but also your character build, companion stories, and end game scenarios.

New to The Outer Worlds is the idea of flaws. While playing The Outer Worlds, the game tracks your experience to find what you aren’t particularly good at. This optional approach to the game will help you build the character you want while exploring Halcyon.

During your journey through the furthest colony, you will meet a host of characters who will want to join your crew. Armed with unique abilities, these companions all have their own missions, motivations, and ideals. It’s up to you to help them achieve their goals, or turn them to your own ends.

The Outer Worlds releases on October 25th.

Enjoy!

  1. “New to The Outer Worlds is the idea of flaws”

Chief among them being the one-year joint exclusivity deal with Windows 10 Store and Timmy Tencent.

  2. My kinda game, shame I can’t play it for 12 months. Maybe I’ll pick it up on sale after that maybe not. On the bright-side I don’t have to worry about broken day-1 games anymore!

  3. So many pink haired women with short haired in the trailer, is like 90% the population comprised by twitter feminists?

    1. I may join Reeesetera so to incite the mob to demand for the game to feature gender neutral public toilets. Such important matters must be addressed.

    1. Its “FREE” on Microsoft store and Windows 10 XBOX app if you have PC subscription, i got it so far im paying 4$ a month.
Gears 5 also “free” already pre-loaded

  4. That last 40 minute gameplay pretty much proved to me this game is going to suck. Buggy crap and boring with horrible A.I. Just save the money and use it on Cyberpunk 2077.

  5. Looks like a much more polished looking Fallout 4. It teases different planets but they all seem to show the same basic aesthetics from Bioshock with just thematic differences setting them apart.
