Borderlands 2 VR is officially coming to the PC in Fall 2019

Gearbox has announced that Borderlands 2 VR is officially coming to the PC in Fall 2019. In order to celebrate this announcement, the team released a brand new trailer for the PC version that you can find below.

Borderlands 2 VR brings the iconic world of Pandora to life like never before. Fans will virtually become a treasure-seeking Vault Hunter, grab 87 bazillion guns, and face off against Handsome Jack. Your mission? Simple. Free Pandora from the corrupt Hyperion Corporation.

In Borderlands 2 VR, players will be able to blast bandits “with real-world aiming, punch bullymongs in the mouth, find the perfect gun inside a life-sized treasure chest and inspect it from every angle.

Borderlands 2 VR also includes new features unique to the VR experience. With Bad Ass Mega Fun Time (aka BAMF Time), players can use this new slow-mo ability to literally slow the speed of the game temporarily to set up their next attack. In addition, with the option to Teleport, players can glide across Pandora.

For the first time ever, players can experience the sublime exhilaration of driving around the Borderlands in first-person perspective; accelerating and steering with the joystick and aiming the vehicle’s weapons with their headset. With the use of the motion controllers and headset, players can interact with the menu systems in a new and intuitive way for the platform, easily navigating through the menus by pointing, clicking, dragging and dropping. Players will also have the choice of preferred movement styles.

Enjoy!

  1. Well, one thing VR is good for I guess, is running things from 8+ years ago. I suppose this can be cool for some people who want to try and justify their headset.

  2. I wonder if “coming to the PC” is Gearbox PR-speak for,

    – ‘coming exclusively to Epic Games Store but we’re keeping that quiet for now so to control the media narrative’, or

    – ‘Timmy Tencent won’t pay what we wanted for a VR game so we may have to release this on Steam but aren’t saying so yet in order to save face due to Borderlands 3 and Randy Pitchford’s ego’

    1. Actually , “coming exclusively to Epic Games Store” is not true , as it became clear Epic exclusive does not include Microsoft store at least for the AAA games.Which is interesting because exactly the epic before 2 years roaring against $M store.

  3. Ahh, adding in content for free for PS4VR owners, but just in time to add it to PC to jack up the price…

    yeah no.
