The Farm 51 has shared a video, showing 17 minutes of gameplay footage from the Gamescom 2019 demo of Chernobylite. This demo showcases the Chernobyl Nuclear Power Plant which is basically the beginning area of the game.
Chernobylite is a science fiction survival horror experience from the team behind Get Even. The game utilizes Unreal Engine 4 and is based on Reality 51’s scanning technology, which was also used in Get Even.
Chernobylite promises to mix free exploration of its disturbing world with challenging combat, unique crafting, and non-linear storytelling.
Players will ally or compete with other stalkers of the Chernobyl zone to survive. Players can spend as long as they need to prepare. However, every passing moment, their chances of success will be dwindling: comrades are dying, supplies are running out, or an unexpected patrol could discover you. On top of all this, supernatural dangers arise around you in mysterious patterns. As such, each day brings new challenges with the ever-increasing severity of your current situation. Therefore, players will have to plan their strategy carefully if they want to survive.
Players will also be able to craft their gear and weapons to protect themselves. You’ll also have to stay undetected and gather all the evidence you can to piece together events from the past. Thus, you can decide what happens in the world around you by making choices and finding, or avoiding, the truth.
Enjoy!

This is borderline laughably amateurish and terrible looking. Like something out of a straight to video VHS tape that you’d find at a FYE back in the late 90s. Absolutely abysmal.
I had a sliver. A smidgen. Perhaps even a tiny bit of hope with the last piece of long form game-play the devs showed off, but that is gone now. Completely and totally gone.
why it looks great, its not AAA.
Yeah, lord knows why SoyKnutz has his panties in a bunch this time!
I thought that 17 minute video was more entertaining than suffering playing Metro Exodus.
well its defiantly more supernatural and atmospheric.
Looks good
Looking forward to put my hands on this.
It looks very enjoyable.
I thought about backing this when it was on Kickstarter but I have been burned by every project I have supported. Glad it looks good so far. I will keep my eye on it.
I see potential in this one.
Looking forward to this, looks great so far. Just hope it doesn’t give me a headache with low FoV, head bob and sharpening like Get Even did, that was tough to get through, worth a play though really interesting.
