Dennis Gustafsson is currently working on a project/game that will leave you speechless with its advanced physics. This game, which currently does not have a title yet, may soon enter its early access phase, and you should unquestionably keep your eye on it.
According to the creator, the game currently runs with 60fps on a GTX1070 and quad-core machine. Gustafsson might add a lower detail mode to enable GTX1060 as well, but anything below that will not be really realistic.
Not only that, but this game also features real-time ray tracing. This ray tracing implementation works on pretty much all GPUs, meaning that AMD owners will also be able to enjoy these effects. Yeap, this indie project supports real-time ray tracing on both AMD’s and NVIDIA’s GPUs.
From the looks of it, this game will feature similar graphics to Minecraft. Therefore, expect some retro awesomeness here.
YouTube’s ‘Bluedrake42’ has shared a video showcasing this project, and we highly recommend watching it. As you can see, the physics in this game/project are insane. Seriously, these are the best physics you’ll ever see in a game. Yes, we are dealing with retro/Minecraft visuals but the physics are mind-blowing.
We’ll definitely let you know when the game hits Steam Early Access so stay tuned for more. Until then, enjoy the video!

looks cool and everything, buy very far from realistic, not sure what was the goal.
Showing what you can do with Voxels and Physics was the goal for sure, and testing the limits of that “tech” as well.
I put many hours with the CryEngine Editor (the version for the first Crysis game) back in the day making levels and spawning tons of barrels and whatever, to make stuff so then I could destroy buildings made out of different parts, or the more barrels the bigger the explosion as well.
Made massive “domino effect” constructions with just “solids” and then see the result was quite entertaining too (just watching physics in action is fun).
And then if you went into “Crymod” site (now I think is “Crydev”), people made tons of mods for the vehicles, massive nukes with an awesome “realistic” shock wave that made your PC cry (literally your FPS went to single digits), etc.
So yeah, that guy sure is having fun. And in the video it says he made an iPhone game based on physics already. He knows the deal and probably made a lot of money out of it too.
i’m sure that if he tried that with more complex textures he would need a pretty powerful machine to run, anyway it looks very fun, and interesting, but i’m kinda hesitant to believe we’ll see that quality of physics in any relevant game any time soom.
Pffft … seriously?
But the power of the cloud ???
data centers are still cheaper in the long run.
not everyone will be able to own a $2,000 PC to run this in 4k.
That is true. Game streaming is the future.
??
Why must 4K be brought in. I’m gunna be honest, it’s not much better. Most of the time I can barely tell the difference.
“the most advanced physics you’ll ever see in a game”
So no game will ever have better physics than this? Or are you implying that we will all die very soon?
LOL 😀
It should be “…you’ve ever seen…”
made by one dude, very impressive i must say
LoL! the guy talking is going bonkers over Napoleon Dynamite making a crazy physics based destruction demo. Really starts going nutty 3:35
This is what I wish Unreal could do, but only bothers with small scale destruction
Voxels I guess. Looks cool, wish more games tried it.
They cant. They are to bussy makeing surprise mechanics…..
This video showcases the most advanced physics you’ve ever seen in a game that you never gonna see in the game
Well he said it himself procedural content with polygons is painful, but with voxels… not so much. You also don’t have huge realism expectations, because well it’s just blocks.
Also your title is kinda misleading. SEO much? i guess you’ve forgottent this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9lCkB77it-M
Epic should snatch this up to make the steamdrones seethe
It’s interesting but not practical yet.
Honestly… It is very impressive. But I don’t see a game here. Just a tech demo. I guess if he can make a Mercenaries reboot then yeah… the destruction will seem fitting
already see how novidio buys this dev and his engine and starting selling this as a gimmick exclusive for their next cards )
Its just sad that games like Battle Field have gone backwards in so many ways including destruction. And I maintain that games like Red Faction 1 and Guerrilla where ahead of their time, which is sad because nothing has come close to the destruction and freedom in those games.
