24 minutes of new multiplayer gameplay footage from the PC version of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare

At Gamescom 2019, NVIDIA revealed that Infinity Ward will take advantage of real-time ray tracing for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. As Infinity Ward noted, it will use RTX in order to ray trace the game’s shadows. Moreover, below you can find a video showing brand new gameplay footage from its PC version.

Now while N-Gamz claims that this video features Ray Tracing effects, I couldn’t really spot them. Not only that, but I really doubt that an RTX2080 can run ray tracing in 4K/Max settings with 60fps. Yes, Infinity Ward will only use RTX for the game’s shadows, however I don’t expect the game to run that smooth with RTX.

As such, I’m almost certain that we are looking here at the non-RTX version. My guess is that N-Gamz used the “Ray Tracing” tag for YouTube’s algorithms and nothing more. On the other hand, this is definitely the PC version so we can at least take a look at how the game looks on our platform.

I should also note that the one playing the game is… well… not very good at it. Therefore, don’t expect any mind-blowing kills or anything like that. The main reason we are sharing this is because it’s one of the very few PC videos for this new Call of Duty game.

Last but not least, it’s worth reminding you that the PC version will feature uncapped framerates, FOV slider and advanced mouse settings. It will also support HDR and will allow players to remap all keys.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare releases on October 25th.

Enjoy!

  1. The gameplay is atrocious but the sound design is pretty good, it’s like they have finally stopped using the sfx from CoD 4.

    1. Exactly what I was gonna say…I’m totally digging the sounds, quite immersive! Reminds me of the Creative EAX effects from back in the day…

  2. The uploader admits in the comments that this was his first time using a mouse for FPS ever. For some reason Activision let him test the PC version when he’s exclusively a console gamer. How to not advertise your game 101.

  3. “the one playing the game is… well… not very good at it”

Possibly done deliberately so to not further trigger games ‘journalists’!

    1. Never underestimate the capacity for sheer stupidity and lunacy from SJW activist games ‘journalists’! Such is their desperation for ad revenue-based clicks in the dying world of old media.
