First NBA 2K20 screenshots show LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Jimmy Butler & Kemba Walker

2K Games has released the first screenshots for the next part in its NBA basketball video game series, NBA 2K20. These first screenshots showcase the in-game 3D models for LeBron James, Anthony Davis, Jimmy Butler and Kemba Walker.

Unfortunately, the publisher has not shared any additional details about NBA 2K20. All we know so far is that Anthony Davis and Dwyane Wade will be the cover stars for it, and that it will be releasing on the PC on September 6th.

From the looks of it, NBA 2K20 will have great visuals, however – and like most sport games these days – it does not look miles better than its predecessor. I’m pretty sure that there are some enhancements here and there, however I’m almost certain that when it comes to their graphics, gamers would easily mistake NBA 2K19 for NBA 2K20.

Now back in the 32-bit days, the next iterations of almost all the sport games were – visually – noticeably better. Truth be told, FIFA 98 and FIFA 99 had minor differences but FIFA 2000 looked completely different than both of them, on the very same systems. The same can also be said about the NBA Live and the Winning Eleven series.

But anyway, enjoy the following screenshots and stay tuned for more!

  1. They should add character creation feature,so i can make Kevin Hart or Chris Tucker lookalike player…

  2. Do they show you how much cash shop bullsh***ery you’ll be dealing with? Do they show the lovely commercials you won’t be able to skip? Do they show what a colossal pile of s**t this thing is? Do they show all that?

  3. I’ve been playing 2K since it released on Dreamcast in 1999….. I STILL see some bugs in recent 2K games that I used to see in the early 2000’s….. so YES if you’re wondering, they are STILL using a 15+ year old engine that they keep spit shining each year.

There is ZERO physics involved, players don’t dribble, jump and move, instead they “animate” because it’s a series of canned animations one to the next, and the only semblance of realism you can get in that game is when you’re playing against a friend who will react realistically to your movement, because the AI in this game literally reads your controller input and reacts to that instead.
Best way I can describe that hilarious tidbit is imagine playing basketball outdoors on a sunny day with the sun behind you, and your shadow in front of you is your defender, lol…

They’ve made so much money in the last 10+ years but refuse to use any of it to build a new physics based engine that has at least a basic level of realism.
