Final Fantasy 8 Remaster PC Exclusive Features Revealed

At E3 2019, Square Enix revealed that a remaster of the second 3D Final Fantasy game, Final Fantasy 8, is under development. This remaster will come with some new features and in an interview with Ryokutya2089, Producer Yoshinori Kitase unveiled these brand new features.

According to Yoshinori Kitase, all platforms will feature a Triple speed option, Battle Enhancements (Max HP and ATB Gauge, Special Moves always available), as well as a feature that will disable all random encounters.

Now what’s really interesting here is that the PC version will come with some exclusive features. As Kitase claimed, the PC version of Final Fantasy 8 Remaster will offer options for “Acquire all Items, Abilities, Special Moves and Triple Triad cards”, “Max GF level, Gil, and Magic” and “Highly customizable system settings”.

Final Fantasy 8 Remaster will be coming to Steam later this year. Square Enix has not revealed any specific release date but we’ll be sure to keep you posted!

    what kind of settings?

  2. The supposed “remastered” graphics looked rather disappointing from what I saw in the E3 trailer.

    1. Eh you know how remasters are nowadays, basically they are a re-release of a game in usually in new platforms (in this case PC) so we are getting a new modern client with new cheat options, thats good. No need to run PS2 Emu anymore

    1. FFVIII dont have 4:3 aspect ratio, i dont know how in USA NTSC, but in Europe on PAL 4:3 CRTV we had black stripes up and down, so you can use Zoom on HD TV so you hawe it on full screen on HD TV, so its literaly 16:9 in 4:3 overhaul, not perfect, but you can hawe it…

  3. I really, really dislike how they changed Squall’s likeness to look more like his Dissidia counterpart. It just doesn’t match how he is shown in the fmvs.
