Square Enix has announced that Marvel’s Avengers will not feature any lootboxes or pay to win mechanics. We are pretty sure that this is something that will please a lot of gamers and fans of the Marvel universe, though it remains to be seen whether there will be any microtransactions for cosmetic items.
The game will launch with Captain America, Iron Man, Black Widow, Hulk and Thor, however new characters will be added after the game’s launch. Not only that, but these new heroes will be available for free.
Marvel’s Avengers is described as an epic action-adventure game that combines cinematic storytelling with single-player and co-operative gameplay.
The game is planned for a May 15th, 2020!

Not the MCU versions who inhabit their own unique continuity and obviously did not witness New York getting wiped out.
The cast in this game is top-shelf. Literally some of the best and most respected voice actors working today.

The aren’t based off the movie, Marvel gave Crystal Dynamics permission to do their own interpretations of the heroes.
You know the movie characters were chosen to look like the comic heroes. We don’t need the video games, comic books or anything else to look like the actors.
It would just ramp up the budget and lower the game quality anyway.

Paid skins are fine if whatever launches with the game feels complete. If it nets free characters and maps later, I’m good with it.
They’ll just add them later on like on Star Wars Battlefront 2.
