Spyro Reignited Trilogy rated for the PC by the Taiwanese Ratings Board

It appears that the remastered trilogy of the first Spyro games, Spyro Reignited Trilogy, will be indeed coming to the PC platform. The Taiwanese Ratings Board has just rated Spyro Reignited Trilogy for the PC, stating that it will be a download-only release and that the studio that will be responsible for it will be Iron Galaxy Studios.

Iron Galaxy Studios was the same team behind the PC versions of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Killer Instinct, so we are almost certain that the game will look and perform well on our platform. Here is hoping though that, and contrary to Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy, the Spyro trilogy will feature an unlocked framerate from the get-go.

Activision has not announced anything official yet about a possible PC release of Spyro Reignited Trilogy. Our guess is that the publisher will reveal it during E3 2019 (perhaps at the PC Gaming Show?). Still, and given the fact that Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy has Very Positive reviews on Steam, it makes perfect sense to release it on the PC.

It’s also worth noting that back in 2018, Activision included a PC logo on the official website for Spyro Reignited, hinting at a future PC release.

Spyro Reignited Trilogy features all 3 original Spyro games fully remastered in HD, meaning that players can expect over 100 levels, remastered with breathtaking graphical updates and improved gameplay controls.

    1. Yes, it will. Just like Crash trilogy came. 🙂 Better be ready when it will happen, we don’t want you to have a heart attack.

  1. As far as unlocked frame rate, these games are on UE4 while Crash Trilogy used a proprietary engine IIRC. Worst case, tweaking the ini file should solve everything.

  2. Iron Galaxy Studios was the same team behind the PC versions of Crash Bandicoot N. Sane Trilogy and Killer Instinct

    Yeah… and Arkham Knight too.

      1. It was fixed by Rocksteady after the game was pulled from Steam and refunds were offered.

Iron Galaxy alleges that they were forced to release the game too early so it was all WB’s fault, which sounds plausible, but this was reported by Kotaku and the CEO of Iron Galaxy is personal friends with Patrick Klepek, who broke the story (which, as usual, remained undisclosed in the article) so there’s reason to doubt that story too.

        1. Just because someone is a connection on LinkedIn does not mean they are personal friends or that there is a conflict of interest.

    1. Like a Hat in Time, Hollow Knight, Cities Skylines, Minecraft, Terraria, Fire Pro Wrestling, Giga Wrecker and tons of other games happen to consoles months or years after?
      Damn, you sure showed us!

      1. Oh come on mate original spyro trilogy on psone were pretty great besides, being a gamer kid in the 1990’s was a far better childhood than what children nowadays get with fartnite and call of doody , with that at least you got to agree

  3. Inb4 it’s either EGS exclusive, only found on Battle.net, as well as being sold at absolute full price, while being capped at 60fps with stuttering.

    1. I doubt it would be on EGS as it seems they aren’t interested in console ports (or so far haven’t shown any). If it comes to steam, I’ll buy it day one 😀

  4. Tried it before I sold my ps4 pro, and yeah it’s good if you like 5 year old 😀
I love plattformers, but this one sucks. But to each of their own!
Btw, this is the first time I have no console at all. So you might aswell call me: PcRules ..LOL!

  5. Awesome. The game is on Unreal Engine 4 so the modding should be very easy. Won’t people be able to extract character models and animations too so fan projects of Spyro will gain massively from this.
